Matters needing attention in Philippine tourism
Notes on Tourism in the Philippines
Introduction: "Travel" refers to traveling and going out, that is, the process of traveling from A to B in space in order to achieve a certain goal; "Tour" means going out for sightseeing, sightseeing and entertainment, that is, traveling for these purposes. Together, they are tourism. The following are my notes on traveling in the Philippines for your reference.
1. It is recommended to get ready before going abroad:
1. Luggage: in principle, one is large and one is small, the small one is shoulder strap type, and the large one is firm and locked.
2. Clothes: It is more comfortable to wear casual clothes. Shoes: Ladies should not wear high heels, preferably flat sandals, and don't wear new shoes (to avoid discomfort).
3. Drugs: gastrointestinal drugs, cold drugs, motion sickness drugs, heatstroke prevention drugs, mosquito repellent, wind expelling oil and private habitual drugs.
4. Self-brought articles: personal articles such as towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, slippers, beach pants, bathing suits, umbrellas, sufficient film and batteries.
5. Special reminder: Please wear shorts and sandals on the day you board Boracay and when you leave Boracay. Because of the tidal water, you need to wade ashore, and you may be knee-high when the tide is high. In addition, please take care of your luggage to avoid falling into the water.
6. The Philippines has a tropical maritime climate with high temperature, rainy weather and high humidity. The average annual temperature is 29℃, and the annual precipitation is 2-3mm. It is hot and dry from March to May, and the temperature is 22-32 degrees.
2. Precautions for leaving the country and taking the plane:
1. Cameras, advanced cameras, laptops, etc. must be declared when leaving the country (take the red channel when passing through the customs and keep the second copy of the customs declaration form safe, and the customs should check it when entering the country). When leaving the country, each person can carry 2, yuan and the equivalent of 5, US dollars in foreign currency. Exceeding this limit requires a foreign exchange carrying certificate issued by the Bank of China.
2. According to airline regulations, the checked baggage is limited to one piece per person (2kg for international flights and 1kg for domestic flights). If you are overweight, please pay the overweight fee yourself. Valuable and fragile items, including coins, jewelry, passports, etc., must be carried with you and never put in checked baggage. However, liquids and knives with a capacity of more than 1ml should be put in the checked baggage.
3. If you buy duty-free items after the border inspection, please seize the time and go to the boarding gate as soon as possible to avoid delaying boarding.
4. Please take your seats accordingly on the plane. If you need to adjust your seats, please contact the flight attendant after the plane takes off and flies smoothly.
5. Smoking is prohibited in the cabin, air-conditioned tourist buses, elevators and some restaurants. Please follow the instructions and respect the rights of others.
6. When transferring to a plane, take care of your luggage. Don't carry or take care of your luggage for non-members of our group.
7. Please put the liquid in the checked baggage.
3. Matters needing attention when arriving in the local area:
1. Catering: Most of the breakfasts arranged by our agency are Chinese and western buffet breakfasts. When using the buffet, please choose a proper amount. Please don't leave too much food on the plate or pack it away. Please inform the travel agency before you leave because of religious beliefs about certain food taboos, so as to make proper arrangements.
local characteristics: it is most famous for its rich seafood. There are often band performances and folk dance performances in restaurants. Philippine local dishes like to use spicy spices such as vinegar and garlic.
The representative ones are: roast suckling pig, Sinigen soup, Adobo, Laprapu fish, etc.
※ In order to prevent improper diet, it is recommended to carry some commonly used gastrointestinal drugs.
2. Accommodation:
The drinks and drinks in the refrigerator in the hotel room are expensive. If you need to drink them, please check the price first (some hotel rooms have pay TV, and you need to pay extra) to avoid embarrassing scenes when checking out. Generally, there is no thermos bottle and boiling water in the room. Hotel tap water is not drinkable. Some hotels provide automatic hot water cups for guests to use. Please pay attention to the safety of electricity use.
when you leave the hotel at night, you'd better go with others to ensure safety. Avoid going to secluded places alone. Please bring your hotel card in case you get lost.
Philippine voltage: mostly 22V, with flat mouth and double plugs. Philippine voltage and plug equipment are basically the same as those in China.
3. Safety:
When you go out, try to bring less valuables. Passports and money should be kept in the hotel safe or carried with you. Please don't put them in the room or on the coach.
The public transportation system in Philippine cities is relatively backward, mainly consisting of taxis and Gibney (a local individual taxi with a fixed route, which can carry more than a dozen people at the same time). Manila, the capital, has a light rail. Inter-provincial travel is mainly by air.
Taking part in tour groups is a collective activity. You should observe the assembly time and cooperate with the tour leader and tour guide. You are not allowed to leave the group without authorization. If you leave the group without authorization, you will be responsible.
don't grab the road by force, and don't cross the road at will.
lock the door when entering or leaving the room, and keep the key of the room. Use room appliances and other facilities correctly, don't smoke in bed, put out cigarette butts after smoking, and pay attention to self-protection when exercising in the hotel gym and swimming pool. Please check your luggage before you check out.
don't stay in places with danger warning signs. If there are exciting activities during the trip or free activities, you should do what you can.
If you go out to sea by boat after breakfast, please don't eat too much for breakfast. Too much food in your stomach will easily lead to vomiting. After eating seafood, please don't drink a lot of ice water. Seafood with ice water can't stand it.
The pollution in the Philippines is very small, and the light is strong. Please take good sun protection measures to avoid being burned by the scorching sun.
In water activities, you must wear life jackets, walk together, put safety first, and be careful not to swim in the deep sea, and don't swim in the water after drinking or feeling unwell. The hotel is close to the seaside, and guests are absolutely forbidden to swim in the sea at high tide and after dark.
for your own benefit, it is recommended that you buy personal travel accident insurance before you leave. In case of personal accident abroad, please treat it immediately, and keep the hospital diagnosis certificate, various medical invoices, personal report, etc. After returning home, the insurance company will determine the loss and claim compensation.
4. When in Rome, do as the Romans do:
① The Philippines is the largest Catholic country in Asia. Please respect the local religious beliefs.
② Philippine currency: the local currency is called peso. One RMB can be exchanged for about 5.2 pesos, and one US dollar can be exchanged for about 43 pesos (the exchange rate changes greatly, for reference only).
③ The Philippines is a tipping country, so it is recommended that you give the waiter 2 pesos per day in your hotel room, 2 pesos per piece of luggage for handling and 5 pesos per piece of oversized and overweight luggage. If the bill already includes 1% service charge, you can pay tips selectively. The tip for the whole tour guide is 3 RMB per person per day, and the whole tour is 18 RMB.
4. Matters needing attention when returning to China:
1. Do not bring duty-free appliances, fresh fruits or food, large shell coral horns, political, obscene books, newspapers and videos when entering China.
2. You can bring 4 duty-free cigarettes, 1 cigars or 5 grams of cut tobacco into the country; Duty-free alcoholic beverages above 12 degrees are limited to 2 bottles (below 1.5 liters).
3. Fill in the entry card and health declaration card → Pass the quarantine → Pass the entry examination → Pick up the checked baggage → Pass the customs → Exit Hall. ;
