School history of Les Roches Shanghai Jin Jiang International School of Hospitality Management

Les Roches was established in 1954, co-founded by Messrs Marcel and Jean-Pierre Clivaz ***. It is an international school for cultivating young people. Students come from more than 60 different countries on five continents. In 1979, the trend of global economic globalization intensified, and the demand for studying abroad also increased. In order to adapt to the trend of the time, Les Roches International School changed its name to Les Roches Hotel and Tourism College and adopted all English teaching. In 1986, a management contract was signed between Geshotel SA GmbH, the owner of the academy's property, and the Swiss Hotel Association ***, which is recognized by the Swiss Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs. In January 1987, the school was officially recognized by the Swiss Hotel Association and changed its name to Les Roches Hotel Management School of the Swiss Hotel Association. In June 1987, the college moved into the newly built teaching building. In November 2000, the college was acquired by Sylva International University (later renamed Rowett International University), a subsidiary of Sylva Educational Institutions in the United States. Les Roches has quickly become the core of hotel management education at Sylva International University, and has branch campuses in the United States, Mexico, Chile, Spain and other places. In 2002, it was renamed Les Roches Swiss Hotel Association School of Hotel Management. In 2003, Les Roches and Glion College of Higher Education formed an educational system together, with more than 500,000 students and 35 colleges accredited by authoritative organizations. In May 2004, Sylva officially changed its name to Luorite Education Group. In 2004, Les Roches cooperated with Jin Jiang Group, the largest hotel chain in Asia, to establish Jin Jiang International Les Roches Hotel Management College in Shanghai. Jinjiang International Les Roches is located on the Fengxian Campus of Shanghai Normal University.
