How to arrange a three-day trip to Penglai and Changdao (self-guided tour)
It takes two days from Changdao to Penglai and one day from Changdao; the main attractions in Penglai are: Penglai Pavilion, Water City, Ocean Polar World, Sanxian Mountain, and the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea; there are three main attractions in Changdao: Crescent Bay and Wangfu Reef , Jiuzhang Cliff. It is recommended to live next to Jiuzhang Cliff and come back on October 5th.
About eating on Changdao:?
1) The more economical way to eat on the island is to go to the seafood market to buy things yourself and let restaurants or fishermen process them for a small processing fee. Yes, usually it’s five yuan per dish. It is best to ask the fisherman in advance about the price of seafood and how to choose fresh seafood to avoid being ripped off. But to be honest, the folk customs here are quite good. Compared with other tourist attractions, it is a place that is very friendly to outsiders. ?
2) There are many restaurants on the street in front of the beach on the island. The prices are of course a bit more expensive, but they are not worth the money. I don’t know. We didn’t have any on this trip. Eat in a restaurant. There is also a barbecue street nearby that is very lively at night. Most of the grilled items are seafood. It is a good choice for friends who like barbecue. Another specialty of the island is mackerel dumplings. I have forgotten the name of the restaurant, but you can find the place by asking anyone on the island for the most famous local dumpling restaurant. Dumplings are sold by the portion. If the portion is quite large, it is best to order a small amount first and then order according to your ability. Don't listen to the waiter's advice. Generally, you won't be able to eat it according to their advice. The price of dumplings ranges from ten yuan to twenty yuan per plate. However, I personally think that the fillings of the dumplings here are good and I cannot praise them. Maybe it was because we arrived late that day and the dumplings had been wrapped for too long. ?
About the transportation on Changdao: ?
The rental price on the island generally starts at six yuan. ?
Attractions on Changdao: ?
There are many famous attractions on the island, including Fengshan-Linhai Park, which costs 50 yuan, and Crescent Bay-Jiuzhang Cliff, which costs 50 yuan. Buy a joint ticket for 90 yuan. If there are more than ten people, you can get a 15% discount on group purchases. Linhai Park can see the boundary between the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea. From Fengshan Mountain to Linhai Park, you can overlook a sea area from the top of the mountain. The color of this sea is very rich. There are many big white windmills on the mountain (actually used for generating electricity), which look very nice. However, the locals have strong objections to these windmills. They say that the construction of windmills on the mountain has destroyed the natural environment of the mountain. There were originally a lot of migratory birds here. Since the windmills were built, there have been no migratory birds here. There are no taxis near the park. Generally, it costs about 40 yuan to charter a car to Linhai Park and back. The driver will wait for an hour at the entrance of the park. If you have good physical strength, you can also take a taxi to Linhai Park, then play from Linhai Park to Fengshan Park and then walk to the beach for about half an hour. ?
Crescent Bay and Jiuzhang Cliff are in the North Island. It costs 15 yuan to take a taxi from the South Island to the North Island, but the return fare may be more expensive because there are few cars near the scenic area. You can also choose to live in Beidao where there is also a fisherman's house. However, Beidao is a suburb and there are no markets, hotels or restaurants. You can only eat and live in fishermen's houses. You can also camp at Crescent Bay. It is cooler here in summer, but it may be windier and colder in October.
