Ah! Life (Jingxi)
I have been in Beijing for more than half a year, and I have gone deep into life, only to find that the happiness of people in small towns is still very strong. Many people built their houses on the land they bought in their early years and became independent buildings, living in spacious and comfortable places. The chicken soup here is particularly delicious and tastes simple. Needless to say, rice is the origin of tribute, soft and delicious. Vegetables are slightly sweet, so you can't forget them after eating them. There are few buses in the whole city, so everyone can cross the whole city in fifteen minutes by tram. Life in small towns is so slow that they seem to have no sense of time. It is common for them to put off the appointed time for an hour or two. Life in a small town is full of energy. At night, all kinds of barbecue stalls are spread out, roast chicken, roasted corn and roasted sweet potatoes are smoky and lively. Jingxi people especially like drinking, and glutinous rice wine is the most distinctive. It looks like milk. It's light and sweet in the mouth, but it tops quickly.
More than 99% of Jingxi people are Zhuang people. When I was speaking Mandarin with you, two Jingxi people accidentally talked about Zhuang language. Men in Jingxi are very gentle, and they often see many men taking care of their children and whispering. Women are very diligent and can pick up a big bucket of mineral water in one breath. Simple Jingxi people are so considerate when selling things. Will she ask you if you want one or two? Big one or small one? Do you want to peel off the plastic outside? It seems that I am not doing business, but exchanging things with my neighbors. In autumn, we went to the farm for an autumn outing and wrapped jiaozi in bamboo rice. It seems that everyone is a master cook. Colleagues are very enthusiastic and will invite us to cook at home.
I will live here for a year, relaxed and free. If there is an opportunity, I want to come to Jingxi again, away from the hustle and bustle of cars and horses, and cultivate chrysanthemums in this environment.
