Brief introduction of Zhujiajiao ancient town tourist area
Shanghai is the leading metropolis in China. Although it is not far from the "Four Ancient Towns in Jiangnan", the nearest ancient town in Jiangnan is Zhujiajiao, where I came today.
How close is Zhujiajiao to Shanghai? To be exact, Zhujiajiao is Shanghai! It belongs to Qingpu District, located in the west of Shanghai, bordering Dianshan Lake Town, Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province.
Shanghai is too big. Zhujiajiao is located on the border of Shanghai, so many "migrant workers" working in Shanghai may not have been to this ancient town because it is too low-key. I drove to the gate of the scenic spot and saw a small signpost in the middle of the road, which was more like an ancient town of life than the big archway of many commercial ancient towns.
It's really life-oriented, because Zhujiajiao ancient town doesn't even accept tickets. Before the end of the epidemic, you need to make an appointment to enter the ancient town, show your health code and take your temperature before you can enter.
Entering the ancient town, you can see the river port here, nine long streets extending along the river, thousands of Ming and Qing buildings standing by the water, 36 stone bridges with ancient customs, and places of interest can be said to abound.
Therefore, as early as 199 1, Zhujiajiao ancient town was listed as one of the four famous historical and cultural towns in Shanghai. In 2007, it was awarded the third batch of "China Famous Historical and Cultural Towns (Villages)".
There is no commercial element in the background of Zhujiajiao ancient town. In my opinion, it is really suitable for urbanites around Shanghai to play, especially by car. If you visit the ancient town, it is recommended to visit it for one day.
In fact, the area here is not enough for everyone to walk for a day. As I said before, it is suitable for experiencing slow life. If you are here for sightseeing, don't come. Although you don't need tickets, it is definitely a waste of time.
There are many delicious snacks in Zhujiajiao ancient town, such as oil chopping board, egg yolk dumplings and so on. You can buy a snack at a roadside stall, or find a restaurant by the lake, and watch tourists and cruise ships come and go while tasting local food. No matter what it is, the most important thing is to slow down and experience the bits and pieces of the ancient town.
Zhujiajiao ancient town is also worthy of being an ancient town in a big city. I also found a cultural and creative shop in Guzhen, named "Zhujiaji", which is very foreign. The cultural and creative products and some accompanying small gifts are all designed by professional teams. The image of the ancient town is also caricatured as a cute pig with a horn on its head, and the homonym of "long-horned pig" is Zhujiajiao. The prices of goods here are also very reasonable. I bought a refrigerator sticker from 10 yuan and a bottle of non-alcoholic technological drinks from 12 yuan. I also took a lot of beautiful photos.
Zhujiajiao ancient town has a good historical precipitation, which is a good enrichment for the tourism around this Shanghai metropolis.
