Have you ever traveled to any of the cities Wuhu, Bengbu, and Chuzhou?

As we all know, Anhui Province is a relatively recent province in my country. Therefore, the economies of various cities in Anhui Province started relatively late. Therefore, although Hefei, the provincial capital, is excellent not only in terms of cultural heritage but also economic development, it is still a second-tier city. However, Anhui Province is still very good in terms of overall development. Therefore, Anhui Province is not like Shaanxi Province and other provinces where only one city stands out. Instead, there are several third-tier cities with huge development potential. Among them, the three most outstanding cities are Wuhu, Bengbu, and Chuzhou. They are all very promising to develop into second-tier cities. And which city are you more optimistic about?

Wuhu, Wuhu’s economic aggregate ranks second in Anhui Province. It is also one of the earliest treaty ports in my country that started trading with the outside world. Therefore, Wuhu City’s economic strength is absolutely undeniable. In 2017 alone, its total economic volume reached more than 300 billion yuan. Looking back on Wuhu City’s development in 2018, its development seems to be even better. What do you think of the development of Wuhu City? Do you think Wuhu City now has the strength to become a second-tier city?

Bengbu, in fact, Bengbu and Wuhu are two very old third-tier cities in Anhui Province. If anyone in Anhui Province can be upgraded to a second-tier city in 2019, then the two most likely cities are Bengbu and Wuhu. Compared with Wuhu City, Bengbu is not very dominant in terms of economic aggregate. But Bengbu has more characteristics than Wuhu City. The scenery and environment of Bengbu are the best in Anhui Province. Do you think Bengbu now has the strength and opportunities to become a second-tier city? Are you optimistic about Bengbu’s development potential?

Chuzhou, compared with the above two cities, Chuzhou City’s ability to become a second-tier city is very slim. The main reason is not its lack of economic strength, but the accumulation of time. Compared with established third-tier cities such as Wuhu, the time it took for Chuzhou City to become a third-tier city was very short. Therefore, this is also the reason why it is difficult for Chuzhou City to go further in 2019.
