1. Chuandong'an
Chuandong'an is located in Chuanzhu Mountain, about 3 kilometers south of Zengjiachang Town, Chaotian District, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, with an altitude of about 1,400 meters. The underground karst water on the eastern bank of Sichuan has formed geological wonders such as sinkholes, urn-shaped vertical holes, and Tiansheng Bridge. It was rated as "the most beautiful area in Sichuan" by "China National Geographic" magazine.
Chuan'an belongs to the Cretaceous strata and consists of two funnels: a sinkhole and an urn-shaped vertical cave. The internal volume of the tiankeng is about 500,000 cubic meters, making it the largest mountain tiankeng discovered in northern Sichuan. The skylight at the top of the vertical hole has gurgling water, and the water droplets scatter into water mist as it falls, which is illuminated by the sun and becomes colorful; the pool at the bottom of the hole is connected to an underground river. During the rainy season, the water in the pool is about 2m deep, and the warm and cold air currents blend in the tiankeng, creating a strong atmosphere and a spectacular sight.
There are 12 funnels in Chuandongan, large and small, covering various types. It can be called a natural funnel museum. Among them, the largest Feitian Palace is a world-class funnel with a volume of approximately 16 million cubic meters. On a sunny day, you walk into the funnel and the sunlight pours down from your head, as soft as moonlight, which is a spectacle.
2. Jianmen Pass
Jianmen Pass in Guangyuan, Sichuan was rated as one of the 100 most beautiful shooting ranges in Sichuan by "China National Geographic" and was described by Li Bai, the great poet of the Tang Dynasty. "Although Jianta Pass is indestructible, if one person defends it, ten thousand people cannot defeat it."
Jianmenguan Scenic Area consists of two adjacent scenic spots, Jianmenguan and Cuiyunlang. The scenery here is beautiful, celebrities gather here, the mountains stretch for more than 100 kilometers from east to west, and the 72 peaks are undulating. It has been a battleground for military strategists since ancient times. Including Jianmenguan Pagoda, Jianshan Seventy-two Peaks, Shuan Peak, Shuangchuan Cave, Zhaobi Peak, Xianqiao, Ancient Plank Road, Liangshan Temple and many other scenic spots.
3. Zhaohua Ancient City
Zhaohua Ancient City is located in Zhaohua Town, Zhaohua District, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province. It has a long history and was originally named Yichang County. It is located at the intersection of Bailong River, Jialing River and Qingjiang River, where the Jialing River is surging, the water system is complete, and Tai Chi is natural. It has the reputation of "the world's first natural wonder".
The ancient city is surrounded by mountains on four sides and water on three sides. It has beautiful scenery, outstanding people, numerous ancient ruins and simple and elegant folk customs. It is an ideal place for tourism, leisure vacation, and archaeological research by scholars. The four streets and five alleys composed of green sandstone slabs are well arranged; the streets and alleys have good spatial pattern and friendly scale. On both sides of the ancient street, there are complete buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, most of which are ancient houses with a northern Sichuan style. They have funny wooden structures and small green tiles, and their meanings still exist.
4. Thousand Buddha Cliff Statue
The Thousand Buddha Cliff Statue in Guangyuan, Sichuan is located on the east bank of the Jialing River 4 kilometers north of Guangyuan, Sichuan. It has a history of 1,400 years and is the largest cave group in Sichuan.
The statue is huge and majestic, with a total length of 417 meters, a height of 45 meters from north to south, and an overlap of 13 floors. They are as dense as a honeycomb. There are more than 400 Buddhist niches and more than 7,000 large and small statues. It is divided into north and south parts with Dayungu Cave as the center. There are walkways in the cliffs and pavilions, stairs to climb, and Buddhist shrines and caves to visit.
