Introduction to Taishan Prairie; Introduction to Taishan Prairie

Taishan Huangjun Prairie is a natural landscape with strong visual impact. There is very little prairie south here, making it perfect for a weekend getaway. Bring your friends and family to experience this time of rising sun. Here is a detailed travel guide.

1. Basic information

Suitable for: walking alone, lovers, best friends, close friends, group travel, parent-child travel, student spring and autumn travel, etc.

Keywords: grassland, cows and horses, lakes, windmills, tornadoes, broken cars, travel photography.

Amusement facilities: No, but you can bring your own outdoor toys and props such as kites. You can also play wild games on the grass, or sit by the lake and enjoy a quiet and beautiful time.

Accommodation: You can camp, bring a tent, rest in the night breeze, look at the windmills in the distance, and fall asleep with the stars in the sky.

2. Itinerary

On the first day, 1:19:30 Guangzhou Kaiping (Quanling Hotel)——

It takes 1.5 hours by car.

I originally planned to leave in the afternoon, but my colleagues all had to work overtime, so I had to leave at night. When I arrived at the hotel, it was already 9 o'clock. Although I didn't do anything this day, the hotel was very good, only 300 yuan/night, with new equipment and good service.

The next day: Kaiping at 11:30 (Liyuan Gigi Village, package ticket 150 yuan, the two attractions are very close, 5-10 minutes' drive)

Liyuan

< p>This park is well managed. It was built in 1926 by overseas Chinese teacher Xie Weili. It is divided into villa area, large garden area and small flower area. The architecture of the villa area is very distinctive, and the interior decoration and furnishings are luxurious and elegant. There were also bathtubs and toilets imported from the United States at that time. Especially the beautiful girls in the mistress's villa, you must go and see it and make up a love story of the Republic of China.

Gigi Lai Village

Surrounded by rice fields, the rice fields mature and turn yellow in the autumn of November. When we went there, we walked along the field path into the village and we felt a sense of paradise. But there seems to be only one watchtower included in the ticket.

Another important role of the tower is to prevent bandits and thieves and resist Japanese invaders. For example, Yunhuan Tower was a refuge for villagers during the Anti-Japanese War.

3. Special reminder

Besides the Liyuan Garden and the Diaolou, the famous scenic spot in Kaiping is the Chikan Film and Television City, but it was closed when we went there. We said we were going to rebuild, but we didn’t see the construction team. I feel like it won't be open in the near future. In addition, when we just stopped to check the announcement, an old man knocked on our car window and said excitedly: "One piece for each car! One piece for each car!" We were so frightened that we gave him 1 yuan and drove away!

14:00 Kaiping - 15:15 Taishan Huangjun Grassland (ticket 30 yuan)

There are few beauties, and the recommendation is 6 stars.

It is a very rare prairie in Guangdong. In November, the grasslands begin to dry up and turn yellow, adding to the sense of desolation.

In the calm lake, a few cows and horses scattered on the grassland and the windmills of the power station on the surrounding mountains complete a perfect composition.

Note: The navigation is "Xundi Grassland Hotel", not "Xundi Qiandao Lake". Qiuhuang Qiandao Lake is a scenic spot next door, and the ticket price is also 30 yuan, but I personally don’t think it’s worth going. What’s not worth it is that I didn’t even take a single photo. It was so beautiful to find the prairie. I plan to go see the grass growing and the orioles flying again next February.
