When you come to Yunnan for the first time, you should choose western Yunnan, represented by Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Shangri-La and Lugu Lake. This is the earliest route in Yunnan, with the most mature facilities, the most complete supporting facilities, the most scenic spots and the best travel experience.

There are airports in Dali, Lijiang, Shangri-La, Baoshan, Tengchong, mangshi and Lincang. You can choose a direct flight destination and then extend the trip. Or choose to fly to Kunming and then choose the train and high-speed rail to go to western Yunnan, which can save a little money.

2. Southern Yunnan: Kunming-Yuxi-Pu 'er-Xishuangbanna.

Yuxi is also a good city, with Fuxian Lake, the largest water storage capacity in Yunnan. Pu 'er is the hometown of Pu 'er tea, and was once an important post station on the ancient tea-horse road. Xishuangbanna, the only well-preserved tropical rain forest in China, is a famous tourist attraction integrating plants, animals (elephants) and ethnic groups (Dai people). Of course, this route can also take a trip to the border between Myanmar and Laos.

3. Southwest Yunnan: Kunming-Shilin-Honghe (Maitreya, Jianshui, Mengzi and Yuanyang).

Shilin is one of the oldest scenic spots in Yunnan and one of the famous karst landforms, but you don't have to go alone. Along the way, Maitreya is a new city with "network celebrities" attractions-Oriental Rhyme Scenic Area, Yike Town, Maitreya Giant Buddha and Yuanyang Terrace.

The best tourist destination of the Red River is Jianshui, with famous scenic spots such as Jianshui Ancient City, Confucian Temple, Jia Zhu Garden, Shuanglong Bridge and Tuanshan residents. Of course, this route can also take a trip to the Hekou-Vietnam border.

Shangri-la 1

It is a provincial nature reserve and an important part of the "Three Parallel Rivers" scenic spot. Pudacuo National Park has geological features, lakes and wetlands, forest meadows, river valleys and streams, and rare animals and plants. Its original ecological environment is well preserved. It is 22km away from Shangri-La, with a total area of about 13 13km2.

2. Tiger leaping gorge

The altitude of the upper gorge is 1800 m, and the altitude of the lower gorge is 1630 m. The difference between the mountains on both sides and the river surface is 2500-3000 meters, and the valley slope is steep and spectacular. The river continuously flows down seven scarps in the canyon, with a short distance drop of 216m. It is one of the deepest canyons in the world, with surging water potential and several miles of fame.

3. Erhai Lake in Dali

There are several Cangshan Mountains in the west of Erhai Lake, surrounded by Yushan Mountain in the east, and the space environment is extremely beautiful. Known as "Silver Jade" and "Pearl of the Plateau".

4. Old Town of Lijiang

Also known as Dayan Town, located in the middle of Lijiang Dam, it is one of the famous historical and cultural cities in China, and it is also called "the four best preserved ancient cities" with Langzhong Ancient City, Pingyao Ancient City and Shexian Ancient City.

5. Shuhe

Located four kilometers northwest of Old Town of Lijiang, it is one of the earliest settlements of Naxi ancestors in Lijiang Bazi, an important well-preserved market town on the ancient road of grinding tea and packing horses, and a living specimen of Naxi ancestors' transition from agricultural civilization to commercial civilization.
