8. From Tianmen South to Wuyi Mountain

The four world cultural and natural heritage sites are: Huangshan, Taishan, Emeishan-Leshan Giant Buddha, and Wuyishan.

Mount Tai

Mount Tai is located in Anshi, East Province of Taishan. In ancient times, it was called Dongyue, Daishan, and Daizong. It stretches about 200 kilometers. The main peak, Yuhuangding, is 1,532 meters above sea level. The mountain peaks are abrupt, steep and majestic.

Mount Tai is located in the central part of Shandong Province. It was called Daishan and Daizong in ancient times, and was renamed Taishan in the Spring and Autumn Period.

Mount Tai is adjacent to Qufu, the hometown of Confucius, and backed by the spring city of Jinan.

In mythology, it is closest to the Jade Emperor who rules the three realms, and adjacent to the east are Penglai and Yingzhou, the fairy mountains where immortals live. Therefore, the poem says that Mount Tai is full of vitality, Kyushu is going east, the sky is high and the air is refreshing, and the sun is rising in the east.

Emperor Bai Dai was ordered to go to Peng Ying. (Zuohe Water) Mount Tai rises in the east of the North China Plain and above the Qilu Plain, bordering the vast sea to the east, the long-running Yellow River to the west, and the Siwen River to the Huaihai Sea to the south. The mountain range spans more than 100 kilometers and covers an area of ??426 square kilometers. The main peak, Yuhuangding, is 1,545 meters above sea level. Known as the first of the five mountains.

Mount Tai belongs to the city of Tai. It is located in Tai'an, Jinan, and Laiwu, and is about 200 kilometers long from east to west and 50 kilometers wide from north to south. The main peak, Yuhuangding, is located in the north of Mount Tai. Anshi, longitude 1176, north latitude 3616. It runs through central Shandong and has more than ten main veins, branch veins and residual veins

Huangshan Mountain is located in the subtropical monsoon climate zone, with high mountains and deep valleys, and vertical climate changes. The local topography plays a dominant role in the climate, with many clouds, high humidity, and heavy precipitation, forming a special mountain monsoon climate. Summers are not hot and winters are rarely cold.

The annual average precipitation on the top of the mountain is 2369.3mm, and the annual average rainy days are 180.6 days, mostly from April to June, including 32.9 snowy days, 259 foggy days, and 118.7 windy days. The annual average temperature is 7.9, the highest temperature in summer is 27, the lowest temperature in winter is -22, and the longest rain-free period is 40 days.

This scenic area has dense forests and numerous waterfalls. The air quality remains at level one all year round. The daily average concentration of PM2.5 in the air is 5 micrograms/cubic meter, and the concentration of negative oxygen ions in the air is stable at more than 20,000/cubic centimeter all year round. It's called a natural oxygen bar.

Emeishan-Leshan Giant Buddha

Emeishan-Leshan Giant Buddha is located in the southwest of Mount Emei, Sichuan Province, with an altitude of 3,099 meters. Known as the Emei World Show.

Samantabhadra Statement. By the Tang Dynasty, Buddhism was becoming more and more prosperous. The Fanyu Lin Palace, which covers a mountainous area, has more than 100 Buddhist niches and 40 caves, as well as Wannian Temple, Guobao Temple, Hongchunping (Thousand Buddha Temple), Xixiangchi Scenic Area and Jinding Huazang Temple.

The Leshan Giant Buddha is located on the cliff of Qiluan Peak in the southeast of Leshan City, Sichuan Province. It was completed between the first year of Kaiyuan (713 AD) and the nineteenth year of Zhenyuan (803 AD) of the Tang Dynasty. The Buddha's head is level with the mountain and its feet are on the river. It is 71 meters high and 24 meters wide, so it is also known as the Lingyun Buddha, the largest stone Buddha in the world. Listed in 1996, "World Natural and Cultural Heritage List".

Mount Emei has preserved relatively complete sedimentary strata since the Precambrian, providing rare geological historical materials for studying the history of the earth's crust and biological evolution: intrusive rocks and volcanic rocks produced by magma intrusion and eruption provide a solid foundation for research. The deep mantle processes, lithospheric extension and rupture, and crustal dynamic and static transitions provide typical examples; the complex crustal deformation caused by the Yanshan Movement and the Himalayan Movement also provide sufficient basis for studying the surface structure of the crust.

At the same time, the neotectonic movement produced magnificent and diverse modern landforms on the geological structural background of Mount Emei, providing prerequisites for the reproduction of biological groups and the establishment of a unique ecological kingdom in the middle and high mountains. The organic and unified interpretation formed by these backgrounds and conditions creates the aesthetic image, scientific connotation and special status of Mount Emei in the world.

Wuyi Mountain

Wuyi Mountain World Cultural and Natural Heritage is located at the junction of Jiangxi and northwest Fujian.

Wuyi Mountain was listed as the "World Natural and Cultural Heritage List" by UNESCO in December 1999, becoming a unique wealth for all mankind.

A low mountain composed of red sandstone, about 600 meters above sea level. It is a centralized place for observing karst landforms. There are thirty-six peaks, ninety-nine rocks, Jiuqu River, Taoyuan Cave, Liuxiang Stream, Wolong Lake, Longxiao Rock and other places of interest, as well as Chongyou Wannian Palace (Wuyi Palace) and the former site of Ziyang Academy (Wuyi Jing). House) and cliff carvings of past dynasties.

Wuyishan National Key Nature Reserve is built at the junction of Jianyang, Wuyishan and Guangze cities and is included in the international Man and Biosphere Nature Reserve network. Listed on the World Cultural and Natural Heritage List in 1999.

Wuyi Mountain mainly contains Pre-Sinian and Sinian metamorphic rock series, Mesozoic volcanic rocks, granite and clastic rocks.

In the late Mesozoic Era, a strong volcanic eruption occurred in Wuyi Mountain, followed by large-scale granite intrusion. It has been found that this area is rich in volcanic structures, which is a typical tectonic feature of the East Asian Pacific Rim.

Late Cretaceous red sandy conglomerate is the main body of Danxia landform. The Mesozoic crustal movement laid the basic framework of the Wuyi Mountain landform.

The development of the Wuyi Mountain landform is also obvious. The peaks above 1,500 meters above sea level in the west are basically composed of hard tuff lava and rhyolite, while the red sand shale areas in the east often have wide valleys and basins.

Therefore, the rich landform types in Wuyi Mountain are the result of the comprehensive effects of geological structures, water erosion, weathering and caves.

Polish local time on July 9th at 19:10 pm (Beijing time) At 1:10 a.m. on July 10), the 41st General Assembly of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee was held in Krakow, Poland. Representatives from 21 member states of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee attended the meeting.

The World Heritage Conference reviewed and approved the Wuyi Mountain (Jiangxi Qianshan) proposal, and the 41st session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee reviewed and approved the Wuyi Mountain boundary adjustment project. So far, Jiangxi Lead Mountain Wuyi Mountain has been successfully listed as a world cultural and natural heritage. It is understood that Wuyi Mountain in Jiangxi Province is the first cultural and natural heritage site in Jiangxi Province.

Jiangxi Wuyishan National Nature Reserve is known as Huanggang Mountain, the roof of East China, with an altitude of 2160.8 meters. It is the highest peak in southeastern China and is known as the kingdom of rare plants, a paradise for rare birds and animals, and the origin of biological model specimens.

After inspection, members and experts of the Global Environment Facility under UNESCO unanimously praised the ecological environment protection work here, and officially listed Wuyishan Nature Reserve in Jiangxi Province as GEF-China Biodiversity Conservation One of the demonstration areas.

The northern area of ??Wuyi Mountain not only has unique natural heritage, but also coexists with rich cultural heritage. Ehu Academy was once a famous cultural center. The boundary adjustment of the Wuyishan heritage site further strengthens the integrity of the natural value of the heritage site and will greatly enhance the protection of the heritage site.
