I am in Chongqing and planning to go to Sanya, Hainan. How much will it cost?

My husband and I went to Sanya from Jinan for 4 days in December last year. We traveled independently and the total cost was less than 8,000. We went by plane. The total cost of air tickets is about 2,600, a set of wedding photos is about 2,200, and the rest is the cost of accommodation and Sanya tours.

If you are in Chongqing, the travel expenses for taking the train should not be much, and you can find them online. I just want to give you the most economical suggestions for traveling in Sanya:

1. There is no need to book a hotel in advance. There are many places to stay near the First Market in Sanya city. When we went there, the price was about 180 yuan per day. Moreover, it is convenient to eat seafood in the First Market, and it is also very convenient to go shopping around by car. Much better than living by the sea.

2. Remember to bring your student ID card. Tickets for attractions are discounted for students. In addition, you can find some ticket sellers outside tourist attractions. They are from travel agencies. They are cheap to get tickets and sell them cheaply. Negotiable.

3. Bring some sun protection products. You can buy ordinary clothes in Sanya, they are very cheap. Some are cheaper than locally.

4. Suggested tourist attractions: Tianya Haijiao, Nanshan Temple, Yaluda Hotspot Rainforest, Monkey Island, West Island, etc. are all acceptable.

5. In Sanya, for some places far away from the city, it is best to go with a group tour. There are many travel agencies on the streets of Sanya to attract tourists, and the prices are similar. Just choose the cheapest one, which includes tickets and fares. Once you arrive, just go in and play by yourself, and just go back to the designated gathering place for the group before the specified time.

6. In terms of food, if you go to Sanya, you must go to the First Market to eat seafood. There are seafood processors around the First Market. You can go to the market to buy it yourself and go to the processing shop for processing. Many processing points arrange for people to solicit customers around the market, and you can let them take you to buy seafood. They will help you recommend and help you negotiate the price. The processing fee for each piece is the same. The fried ice is also very delicious, priced at 6 yuan each, and comes in various fruit flavors. I still miss the fried ice. There are also some rice noodles that are quite delicious and cheap and affordable.

7. Playing is mainly about having fun, don’t be too careful, and don’t be careless. Be sensible and the cost will be reduced. The locals in Sanya still respect foreign tourists. After all, tourism is their main source of income. In addition, it is best to buy a bag that can be worn diagonally on the body. I heard that there is a bag snatching behavior in Sanya. But we just heard that we didn’t find it when we visited Sanya for the past few days. I felt the enthusiasm and simplicity of the locals in Sanya. They took the initiative to give up their seats to foreign tourists and invited us to eat the pesticide-free fruits they grew themselves. It was quite nice.

Although the above does not give you a clear answer on the cost, it is just my personal experience of traveling in Sanya. I hope it will be helpful.
