Pinus taiwanensis generally grows above 800 meters above sea level, usually at the north slope 1500- 1700 meters and the south slope 1000- 1600 meters. The shape of Pinus taiwanensis has a great relationship with the natural environment of Huangshan Mountain. The seeds of Pinus taiwanensis can be transported by the wind to the cracks in granite, where they germinate, take root and grow.

There are 120 odd rocks with different shapes in Huangshan Mountain. Viewed from different positions and in different weather, the strange rocks in Huangshan Mountain can be described as "peaks on the side of the ridge, with different heights".
