Shunyi is located in Shunyi District, Beijing, in the northeast suburb. The urban area is 30 kilometers away from the city center, with 40 00'-4018' north latitude and 0/6 28'-16 58' east longitude. It is adjacent to Pinggu in the east, Huairou and Miyun in the north, Changping and Chaoyang in the west, and Tongzhou District and sanhe city in Hebei Province in the south.
