The best route to visit Mount Rigi in Switzerland

Rigi Mountain in Switzerland, known as Mount Emei in the West, has an unparalleled sense of vast space. The mountains here are very strange, with unique charm and mystery of nature. You need to explore slowly to find the most essential beauty of Mount Rigi in Switzerland. Here’s your guide to Mount Rigi in Switzerland.

There are mountains and rivers in my eyes and valleys in my heart. There is a sister mountain in Emei, far away in Switzerland, named "Regi".

There are mountains and rivers in my eyes and valleys in my heart.

I have always had an indescribable passion for this mountain. I don’t know if it’s the love that comes from my heart, or if I want to escape after all.

I was born in a small mountain village, surrounded by mountains. I was locked up in a den like a trapped animal. When I was a child, my biggest dream was to escape from that mountain nest and go to a prosperous big city.

However, my best childhood memories are also in the mountain nest that I desperately wanted to escape from. No matter where I go, I will never forget the joy of playing in the mountains as a child.

Children in rural areas are relatively wild. The mountains in summer and autumn are a paradise for children. There are many wild fruits, secrets and novelties there. My friends and I always happily run to the mountain behind the school as soon as school is over.

We built a thatched house deep in the mountains, imagining that this would be our ideal home, with flowers in the front and trees in the back. We each played the roles of parents, children, teachers, police officers, etc. Solemnly living an "isolated" life in the mountains.

We can always find a lot of delicious fruits deep in the mountains, especially the wild fruit called "Nianzi" (scientific name "Myrtle"), which can completely represent my entire childhood.

My favorite tornado

Nianzihua

When I grew up, I left my mountain nest and came to the prosperous Beijing, where I studied and lived for more than ten years.

There are many mountains around Beijing, but they look bare, far not as high as the mountains in my hometown, and far less lush than the mountains in my hometown. Growing up, I rarely climbed mountains. I felt that my physical strength was exhausted in the mountains of my childhood, and I just wanted to leave my feelings for the mountains to my hometown.

Mount Rigi: Emei’s sister mountain, the queen of mountains in Switzerland.

Later, I went to Switzerland. Switzerland has won the reputation of "World Park" and "God's Back Garden" with its fresh and beautiful lakes and mountains. It would be a shame to come to Switzerland and not see the mountains. More importantly, no matter how high the mountains in Switzerland are, you don’t need to climb them yourself. There is always a means of transportation that can take you to the top of the mountain, which can save energy and enjoy the beautiful scenery on the top of the mountain.

Some people say that the beautiful scenery after the difficult climb is even more breathtaking.

Some people say that a light and relaxed body can fully enjoy the beautiful scenery.

The experiences are different, and the scenery you see is naturally different.

Thanks to the cooperation between China and Switzerland in politics, culture, tourism and other aspects, there is a sister mountain in Emei, Switzerland, named "St. Regis".

Ruishan has a long history, dating back to the 14th century. It was officially named in the 17th century. "Regi" means "Reginamontim, Queen of the Mountains".

Rigi is the forefront of the Alps. Because of its unique geographical location and altitude of 1,800 meters, it has become the most famous observatory in central Switzerland. Standing on the top of Mount Rigi, you can overlook the entire Alps, which stretches from the lakes and mountains of central Switzerland to the Black Forest of Germany and the Great Plains of France. You can't get it greedily. Don't blame Mount St. Regis for being too high, just blame yourself for not having a long-term vision.

Since ancient times, as a magnificent peninsula in Lake Lucerne, Mount Rigi is truly the back of the mountain and a famous place to watch the sunrise and sunset. Standing on the top of the mountain, you can see 13 lakes, large and small. With its beautiful mountain scenery and unparalleled open vision, it attracts many tourists, and even nobles and celebrities come to visit. As early as the early 19th century, cultural celebrities such as Weber, Mendelssohn, and Victor Hugo.

In 1864, Queen Victoria of England also visited Mount Reggie. The St. Regis Coulm Hotel, which stands on the top of a hill, has hosted many celebrities since it was built in 1816.

Transportation strategy:

Mountain Rigi is near Lucerne. Visitors can take a cruise ship, transfer to the mountain train, and then transfer to the sightseeing cable car to reach the observation deck on the top of St. Regis Mountain. There are four ways:

(1) Hiking: Mount Rigi is elegant and soothing, with more than 100 kilometers of walking trails scattered with various hotels, restaurants, and holiday apartments. If you have enough time and energy, you can backpack. Stop when you are tired and find a coffee shop to have a cup of coffee, or stay in a hotel. The beautiful scenery and rich Swiss style along the way will not make people feel too tired.

(2) Steam locomotive route: Take a cruise ship from Lucerne to Witznau, then transfer to the red gear climbing train to reach the top of Rigi Mountain, which takes about 1.5 hours. This railway was built in 1871 and is the earliest mountaineering railway in Europe. In 1937, the electrified railway was opened to traffic, and there are still steam locomotives running on special days.

(3) Pilgrimage route: Take the blue climbing train from Alt-Goldau to the top of Mount Rigi, which takes about 45 minutes.

This line was built in 1875 and was electrified earlier than the Vitznau Railway in 1907. It was the pioneer of electric rack climbing railways. At Rigi Kloesterli, a stopover on the way, you can visit the Church of Our Lady of the Snows, which welcomed many pilgrims before the opening of the railway.

(4) Old Church Route: Take a cruise from Lucerne to Weggis, and then transfer to the funicular cable car. After arriving at Rigi Kaltbad Station, transfer to the mountain train to reach the top of Rigi Mountain, which takes about 20 minutes.

The picturesque Weggis Resort on Lake Lucerne. If you have enough time, stay here for one night, sit on the trestle, bask in the sun, and play with the seabirds, which will make you feel very comfortable. Starting from the station at the foot of Mount Regi, you can take the funicular opened in 1968 to reach Regikartbad, the oldest church on Mount Regi.

See the beauty of Leiji and the charm of Emei.

When you go up the mountain, you take the steam locomotive route. You start from Lucerne, take a cruise ship to Witznau, and then transfer to the red gear climbing train to reach the top of Regi Mountain.

We got up early in the morning to catch the boat, but Lake Lucerne has not yet fully recovered from the hazy morning light. Morning mist covers the lake, and the distant mountains are still immersed in the tranquility of the night, mysterious and shy. The lake surface is also dark gray against the thick fog, and the scenery is the same color as the sky, much like an ink painting. When the cruise ship started, it didn't make much of a splash. As the hull moves, the calm lake water ripples gently, like green silk fluttering in the wind. The sun rises slowly, and the scenery changes along the way. Sometimes it is filled with clouds and mist, sometimes it is sunny, sometimes it is shy like water, sometimes it is full of pride.

After the boat arrives at Vitznau, tourists need to get off the boat and transfer to the gear train to climb the mountain. Europeans are natural athletes. Many people go up the mountain with skis, sleds and other equipment, some with children aged two or three, some blind people climb the mountain alone with guide dogs, and some disabled people go alone in wheelchairs. When getting on and off the bus, the staff will bring a portable slide to help him. It’s really impressive! I thought if I were blind or paralyzed, I might just stay home and eat and wait to die.

The gear train climbs all the way up, and the scenery in the distance is really amazing. The snow-capped mountains opposite are like promotional posters for TV series, and the wooden houses in the town at the foot of the mountains are like the world of fairy tales. A thick white mist rises from the lake, like a loose cotton stack.

After about half an hour, the small train reaches the top of the mountain. When you get off the train, you can see the beautiful scenery. The beautiful Alps are right in front of you.

The top of the mountain is a watchtower, which has real Chinese elements. A stone from Mount Emei in Sichuan, China stands here, with the landmark "Ruili River - Mount Emei: 8,013km Ruili River - Mount Emei: 8,013km apart" printed on the ground.

Ruishan and Emeishan are friendly partners and are called sister mountains. Rui has a handsome character, and Emei has charming gentleness.

Standing on the summit platform, you can have a panoramic view of the scenery at the foot of the mountain. The blue lake is connected with the green mountains, and the snow-white tops of the mountains are like budding white buds. The photos taken are all about the same blue-green color, breathtakingly beautiful, and lacking in text. In the valley on the left side of the watchtower, there is a beautiful Taoxin Lake. I lament the uncanny craftsmanship of nature, thank nature for its gifts, and give Taoxin Lake as a gift to everyone who comes to Mount St. Regis.

There is a peach blossom lake in the distance.

Love nature, dedicated to everyone who loves life.

I met someone who changed my travel route.

On the road, you will meet many people, some people will affect your future, some people will walk into your destiny, and some people will change your trajectory. On Mount Regi, I met someone who changed my travel route.

There is still thick snow on the top of the mountain, and it is easy to slip when tourists step on it. I stood next to the wooden cross and admired the beautiful view of Taoxin Lake. Only the cry of a child and the cry of a man in a hurry came from behind. Looking back, I saw a child about two years old sliding down the slope sideways. The person shouting loudly was his father, but he was too far away and could not catch the child for a while. I quickly walked over to stop the child and prevent him from sliding down the slope.

The child was obviously frightened. He held my neck and cried hard, calling "Mommy". It breaks my heart to hear my child cry so sadly. I thought about my son, who was only two years old. At the moment, I am traveling far away alone, and he is at my grandparents' house. He is injured. Would he cry to his mother like this?

I patted his back and comforted him. The father quickly ran over and said "thank you" while trying to take the child away, but the child hugged my neck tighter and cried for his mother. My father looked at me helplessly and spread his hands. I coaxed the child for a long time, and he finally calmed down and returned to his father's arms. Chatting with the child's father, it turns out that they are Americans, and the child's mother is not feeling well today and is resting in the hotel. They often travel with their 2-year-old and 2-month-old child and have followed them to nearly 30 countries. He guessed that I was also a mother. He said he saw the tears and motherly love in my eyes.

Super dad and super baby, they have been to more than 30 countries.

He asked me: "Why don't you bring your children with you?"

I said: "Thank you for meeting you, which changed my travel path from now on.

We always feel that traveling with children is a tiring and miserable thing. We are utilitarian and think that children are too young to remember anything. When our children are still making a little flower in the greenhouse Some of them have traveled to more than 30 countries with their parents. When we travel alone, our children may also fall into pain and cry helplessly for their mothers.

From now on, no matter where I travel, I will take my child with me. It doesn't matter that we have experienced it together.

Wonderland, lost. p>It was already afternoon when I went down the mountain. I chose to take the old church route, take the mountain train from the top of Regi to Regi Kaltbad Station, and then transfer to the funicular sightseeing cable car to the fairyland town of Weggis on the shores of Lake Lucerne.

Take the cable car to Weggis Station, get off and walk to Lake Lucerne at the foot of the mountain to reach the pier. The sun is shining brightly in the afternoon, and the sky is clear. The blue sky is reflected in the lake. It also presents a dark blue beauty, adding a sense of tranquility. Listening to a group of fairy-like white sand gulls on the wooden pier, echoing the white of the snowy mountains in the distance, you will be intoxicated!

< p>So beautiful and lost. I hope the good times will always be there. When the flowers bloom in spring, I will come with the one I love.
