In April 2021, the General Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the General Office of the National Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the "Notice on Carrying out Work on Tourism and Leisure Blocks", proposing that all localities should strengthen the brand building of tourism and leisure blocks. Carry out the identification of provincial-level tourist and leisure blocks, strengthen the creation of national-level tourist and leisure blocks, and shape the image of a tourist and leisure city.
In November 2021, the identification of national tourism and leisure blocks was launched. Based on the recommendations of the cultural and tourism administrative departments of each province (region, city) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in conjunction with the National Development The Reform Commission, based on the "Grade Classification of Tourism and Leisure Blocks" (LB/T082-2021), the national tourism industry standard of the People's Republic of China, identified the first batch of 54 national-level tourist and leisure blocks.
The first batch of national-level tourist and leisure blocks selected by Yuna cover 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
