Travel guide to Nepal and Bhutan
The northern mountainous area has a cold climate, the middle valley is mild, and the southern hilly plain has a humid subtropical climate. 74% of the land is covered by forests, of which 26% is designated as protected areas.
"Bhutan" means "the border of Tibet" in Sanskrit. Bhutan is also known as the country of dragons (Bhutanese call themselves "Zhuyu", which means "Dragon"), the country of forests and the country of flowers.
Bhutan attaches great importance to protecting the environment and ecological resources. Only 6,000 foreign tourists are allowed to enter the country every year, and the itinerary must be carefully examined by the Bhutanese government. In recognition of the outstanding contribution of the King and people of Bhutan in the field of environmental protection, the United Nations awarded the first "Guardian of the Earth Award" to King wangchuck of Bhutan and the people of Bhutan.
In Sanskrit, Bhutan means "the border of Tibet" and is also called "the country of Lei Long". The dragon is the totem of this country. The white dragon flying on the totem holds pearls in its claws, and even the name of the only state-owned airline is called "Lei Long Airlines". From the name, we can know that Bhutan's scenery is not far from Tibet, but because it is far away from the hubbub, it is like a paradise and mysterious. The blue sky is deep, the clouds are rolling, the solemn Zongbao overlooks the valley, and the legend of ghosts and gods echoes in the valley. Believers in the forest push lonely prayer tubes, and everyone there smiles at you simply and sincerely. There is no army here, only mutual sincere trust, and everything goes back to the beginning. This is a Buddhist country! In the past, Bhutan has always maintained a detached relationship with the outside world.
Best season: March-June and 9- 10 are the best time to travel to Bhutan. Bhutan, located in the subtropical zone, is located at the southern foot of the Himalayas, with drastic changes in altitude and great climate differences. But the main tourist areas are basically at low altitudes, so Bhutan is suitable for tourism all year round. When you go in different seasons, you can see different natural scenery.
