Characteristics of special tourism
I. Special tourism and its types
According to different standards, the types of tourism are divided in different ways. From the content of tourism, sightseeing and holiday tourism is generally called regular tourism, while hiking, camping, mountaineering, river rafting, cave exploration and go on road trip are called special tourism.
According to the content of tourism, other forms of tourism can be called special tourism except regular sightseeing and holiday tourism. Sightseeing and holiday tourism is called conventional tourism mainly because more people participate in these two kinds of tourism than in other tourism. At the same time, regular tourists are the main customers of travel agencies and other tourism enterprises, and the operation of these tourists is often standardized and procedural. Compared with conventional tourism, characteristic tourism often means personalization and non-programming. Therefore, both personalized tourism and non-programmed tourism can be classified as special tourism. Visible, characteristic tourism contains a very rich variety. The characteristic tourism we are talking about here mainly refers to hiking, camping, mountain exploration, river rafting, cave exploration, self-driving tourism and so on, which are gradually mature and have a certain market.
hiking
Hiking is a form of hiking, in which you can watch the natural scenery, understand the local culture, exercise your physical fitness and temper your will.
Hiking includes forest hiking, desert hiking and canyon hiking. Tourists who travel on foot are usually called "backpackers". They crossed the primitive rain forest and Gobi desert, and walked in ancient roads and rural areas. This is a form of tourism full of adventure and exploration spirit. Tiger Leaping Gorge in Yunnan and Daocheng Aden in Sichuan are hot spots for hiking.
(2) Camping and traveling
Camping tourism is a kind of tourism form that takes camping in the wild as the main content, understands the basic skills of survival in the wild through outdoor activities such as picnics, and fully experiences the feeling of zero-distance contact with nature.
Camping tours are carried out around the city. Compared with other special tours, it is less difficult, requires less time and costs, and is very popular with young people in cities.
(3) Mountain adventure tourism
Alpine adventure tourism is a kind of tourism form with high altitude (generally above 3000 meters) as tourism resources, with the purpose of exploring and appreciating the unique topography of mountains, experiencing the natural environment and climate characteristics of mountains, and improving physical and psychological quality.
China is a country rich in mountain tourism resources. Of the 14 peaks with an altitude of over 8000m in the world, 9 are located on the border between China and China. Mount Qomolangma, the highest peak in the world, and K2, the second highest peak in the world, are located on the border of China. Therefore, the prospect of mountain adventure tourism in China is very broad.
(d) River rafting tourism
River rafting tourism is a kind of tourism form that takes natural rivers as tourism resources, relies on unpowered floating facilities, and relies on natural forces and manpower to make tourists reach specific points downstream, and experience stormy waves and enjoy the scenery on both sides of the strait on the way.
In recent years, river rafting tourism has flourished all over the country, and water rafting has developed rapidly all over the country. For urbanites, drifting can be said to be another lifestyle experience, but more is to feel a brand-new relaxation in the "near misses". Guizhou Xingyi Maling River Canyon rafting tourism and Shanxi Yellow River Hukou rafting tourism are both successful examples of development.
(5) Cave adventure tourism
Cave adventure tourism is a kind of tourism form which takes natural caves as tourism resources, relies on professional equipment, explores cave structure, appreciates the unique landscape of caves, experiences cave characteristics and exercises courage.
The mystery of caves and the wonders in caves are very attractive to tourists, but the caves that attract special tourists are not caves that have been developed for regular tourists (such as "Dragon Palace" in Guizhou and "Jiuxiang" in Yunnan). China, especially southwest China, is rich in cave resources and has great potential for cave adventure tourism.
(6) go on road trip
Self-driving travel is a kind of travel mode with cars as the means of transportation, aiming at experiencing freedom, convenience, randomness, romance and driving pleasure during the travel process.
Fast and personalized self-driving travel is full of infinite charm and has become a very fashionable way of travel. With the arrival of the era of family cars in China, go on road trip is bound to become more and more prosperous.
