There are five ancestral halls with eaves corridors in the temple, with inscriptions of Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Republic of China 12. Among them, there is a stone tablet 12 (1873) erected during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, with the eight-character inscription of "repairing the canal monument" in the middle. The inscription reads: "Xiegong Canal in the west of the county originated from an urn and was built in Xin 'an Pool in the southwest of the city, which was cooked by more than 40 villages such as Xin 'an. It was built by Xie in Wanli of the former Ming Dynasty (1596), and the people in the city did not forget to repay the kindness, that is, they ordered to build a canal to thank the public and build a shrine to worship, which made them feel grateful ... "
Xie Sicong, in order to solve the draft problem of more than 40 villages in the southwest of the county, presided over the construction of a stone canal about 3 feet deep and 2 feet wide. Therefore, this canal originally came from the valley where Taihang Mountain and Lin Si Mountain meet, so it was named "* * * Mountain Canal".
* * * Mountain Road is painted with red valley landscape in the west and Xin 'an Village in the east, with a total length of 18 Li. It is managed by Yanjiao Jiaoyuan, Fu Xiao Street, Xiaotun, Doug, Yangjiazhuang, Guaitoushan, Muzuan, Xin 'an, Majinchi, Beishan, Doujiazhuang 1 1. It has been more than 400 years since the canal was built (in 2008). In 2008, there were two old canals in the upper reaches. * * * After the mountain canal was flooded, the problem of human and animal water use in more than 40 villages along the canal was effectively solved. People in the beneficiary villages felt their kindness. Fifty years after the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty (1785), they voluntarily raised funds to build the "Xiegong Temple" at the head of the canal, engraved their achievements on the stone tablet, and changed the name of the canal to "Xiegong Canal" as a permanent memorial.
In Linxian County, people also enshrined Xie Sicong in the "Minghuan Hall". He was one of the 12 people with outstanding achievements in the 64 Linxian county decrees in the Ming Dynasty. In the official biography of Rebuilding Forest County Records, only five people were selected in the Ming Dynasty, and Xie was one of them. Xie Sicong's name will always be remembered in the hearts of Linzhou people. Ganlu Spring, under the cliff on the south side of Kaiyuan Temple ruins, is shallow and cave-shaped, hence its name. Water flows down from the cliff, and the water potential is very small, such as dew dripping and rolling, also known as "dripping spring". Poems of Seventy-two Springs written by Jin Bei and Bi and Records of Seventy-two Springs written by Qing Hao Zhigong are all included. There are many inscriptions by literati in the past dynasties on the cliff. Ming Dynasty's "Licheng Jade Emperor" contains: "Foshan Temple has a cave, and its water trickles into a pool. After years, it tastes extremely sweet and inexhaustible, and it has the saying of' natural spring'. In the second year of Daguan in the Northern Song Dynasty (1 108), Li (the father of Li Qingzhao), a scholar in the Northern Song Dynasty, accompanied the magistrate and wrote the word "Wen Shu Li, Linqing". According to the "Continuation of Licheng County Records" published in the early years of the Republic of China, during the Song Chongning period, Wu Mian, a well-known person in qi zhou, was a water dispenser; Cai Mao, the ruler of Daguan in Song Dynasty and Zheng He, and Ji and others in Zheng He's period all tried this spring. In the Ming dynasty, Xu used it to try tea and turned spring water into aquatic products. Dong Yun, a poet in the Qing Dynasty, once recited the poem "Big Foshan" and said: "The peak of Wenbi is high and the bird road is hanging, and the ancient temple of Kaiyuan is near the sunset. When to sweep the fallen leaves in the forest and try the nectar spring in the mountain. " Therefore, this spring is also called "tea tasting spring".
There are many begonia plants beside the spring pool, so this spring pool is also called "Tangqiu Pool". There is a small pavilion by the spring, named "Drip Pavilion". Due to years of wind and rain erosion, the inscription on the stone wall beside the spring has been blurred, and the begonia tree and dripping pavilion have long since disappeared, but the spring water in the pool is still flowing. Huanglongtan and Wulongtan-two adjacent ponds, each with its own merits. Huanglongtan is deep and quiet. Among the canyons hidden by ancient trees, a stream runs down around the stone barrier, and the silver waterfall impacts into a dark green deep pool. Sitting quietly by the pond, listening to the fallen leaves on the ancient road and the birds singing in the stream will naturally raise a feeling of being far away from the world and being different. At the beginning of the heavy rain, the continuous muffled thunder echoed in the dense forest.
Wulongtan was originally composed of three pools of different sizes. Ancient books recorded: "There are three pools in Wulongtan, with the upper pool hundreds of feet high and the lower pool slightly flat." So far (2008), I have only seen one pool. Five streams of water in the pool flew down from the cracks in the boulder, short and powerful, like a silver harp, plucking the strings day and night.
Go down a few hundred meters from Huanglongtan Waterfall, then return to another stream in the northwest, and you will soon reach Wulongtan Waterfall. I saw the waterfall rushing out of several boulders and divided into three strands, only a few meters high, but its posture was very beautiful. That stream of water falls into the water and makes melodious music; The water in Wulongtan is clear and transparent, which makes people fondle it. At this point, tourists can't help but realize the meaning of "the mountain is not high, the fairy is not famous, the water is not deep, and the dragon is in the spirit".
