Chongwu Ancient City

Chongwu Ancient City is located on the southeast coast of Hui'an County, on the edge of the Taiwan Strait. It was built in the 20th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1387) when Jiang Xiahou and Zhou Dexing were conducting coastal defense to resist the Japanese invaders. In the first year of Jian'an (1567), the famous anti-Japanese warriors Qi Jiguang and Yu worshiped Wu as their teachers, and the stone carvings on the north gate were handed down from him. In the eighth year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1651), Zheng Chenggong stationed here to fight against the Qing Dynasty, and there is a legacy of "horseshoe stone".

Bus: Buy a ticket at Quanzhou Passenger Transport Center Station to Chongwu. The ticket price is 15 yuan per person. It starts from Huoshui and takes about 1 hour. When you arrive at Chongwu, please "use your own No. 11 road" and walk about 200 meters. Turn right and walk another 10 meters. After passing a small harbor selling seafood, we arrived at the gate of Chongwu Ancient City. Or: The bus from Quanzhou to Chongwu can get off at Qingsha Bay and Jinshan Bay. After getting off the bus, you can only ride in Chongwu Ancient Town for 5 yuan.
