1. Introduction:

Yubei District is the main urban area of ??Chongqing and one of the Chongqing metropolitan areas. It is located in the northwest of Chongqing City. With the approval of the State Council on December 17, 1994, a new district was established based on the cancellation of the original Jiangbei County.

Yubei District is located in the Bayu parallel ridge and valley area south of the main peak of Huaying Mountain. The terrain slopes gently from northwest to southeast. The geology is an area where sedimentary rocks are widely developed. The geological form is the Huayingshan broom-like fold bundle and the Xuanhan-Chongqing parallel fold bundle. The fold belt extends in the north-northeast direction, is narrow and asymmetrical, has tight folds, wide synclines, and anticlines. Narrow and less broken.
