The May Day holiday is coming soon. Which do you prefer, reading at home, drinking tea or traveling?

I really want to have a May Day holiday. On warm days in bloom, the whole family will go out to see the scenery and smell the flowers in spring. For traffic jams, I also want to read quietly at home and enjoy the comfort and tranquility brought by holidays. But in the end, all the plans will be successfully intercepted by the parents' words that they will not travel far.

My wife has a son and three sisters. Our hometown and usual place are all an hour's drive. We basically go home twice a month to visit our parents. In my opinion, we usually go home often. We can go out for a few days during the holiday, but the only arrangement for our wife is to go back to our hometown to accompany our parents.

I sometimes get angry, but for the sake of family peace, I choose obedience and silence, but from the bottom of my heart, I prefer to go out or stay at home, cook something delicious in the morning and have time to read and chat. I'm relieved to see my in-laws smiling when I go back to my hometown. Going back to my hometown to spend the holidays with my parents has become a law in my family.

This year's May Day is very special. My father-in-law died last year, and my mother-in-law stayed at home alone. She was brought to our house in winter. For her convenience, I gave up the master bedroom with bathroom. As soon as the heating stopped, my mother-in-law began to go back to her hometown, saying that it was convenient for her to be alone in her hometown and she didn't want to live here. How we persuaded her, she still insisted on going back to her hometown. I accidentally broke my leg soon after I went back. We took our mother-in-law back. I wait on her full-time at home these days. I didn't go to this May Day, and I couldn't read quietly. Instead, I am busy buying food, washing clothes and cooking every day. I also want to welcome the guests who come to visit my mother-in-law

Although such a festival is not satisfactory, it is still very meaningful to be a daughter-in-law at the bedside when her mother-in-law is ill.

During the May Day holiday, as early as ten years ago, if there was nothing special to deal with at home, I almost always chose to meet my family or friends when I went to road trip.
