Arriving in Xiamen on the first day

2. Half-day tour of Gulangyu Island in the afternoon

Gulangyu Island is named after the drum sound from the seawater hitting the rocks on the island, and it is also called Qindao because the piano sound is spread all over the island.

Take a direct boat from the ferry terminal to the island, the journey takes about 3 minutes, and the one-way fee is charged. Don't waste time and money by taking a passenger ship around the island.

Main attractions: Sunlight Rock, Luzhuang Garden, Hao Yue Garden, Underwater World, etc. (You can enjoy a 20% discount if you buy the above tickets with tourist tickets).

If necessary, you can buy some seafood products on the island instead of electronic products.

3. Zhongshan Road in the evening (you can also go shopping at noon, depending on the specific time)

Zhongshan Road Introduction: Zhongshan Road is the oldest commercial pedestrian street in Xiamen, and the old city begins here. Most of the buildings on Zhongshan Road are arcades, which are the combination of European architecture and Southeast Asian regional characteristics, and were introduced to Xiamen after the Opium War.

4. Aoyuan and Jimei University in the morning.

Introduction to Aoyuan: Aoyuan was originally an island along the southeast coast of Jimei. There is a small temple on the island called Aotou Palace, which was destroyed by the Japanese army during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period. 1950, Chen Jiageng, a patriotic China native, built the Olympic Garden on this ruin, covering an area of 8,990 square meters. The Austrian Garden can be divided into three parts: the porch, the Jimei Liberation Monument and the mausoleum of Mr. Chen Jiageng. Admission: 20 yuan/person.

Chen Jiageng (1874- 196 1), a native of Jimei Society (now jimei district, Xiamen) in Tongan County, Fujian Province, was a famous patriotic Chinese entrepreneur in Malaysia and Singapore, and was an overseas Chinese leader before his death. At the same time, he is also a patriotic educator worthy of the name, and has invested in many primary schools, middle schools and universities such as Xiamen University, Jida University and Ocean College.

If you have enough time, you can visit Jimei University, which is near Aoyuan.

5. Garden Expo Park in the afternoon and evening

Introduction to the Garden Expo Park: Located in Jimei, the Garden Expo Park is a tourist attraction built on the opportunity of the 6th Garden Expo. It officially opened on September 23, 2007. The abandoned beach was converted into a sightseeing park, which consists of several small islands, connected by various bridges and floating on the sea, so it is called the second Gulangyu Island. Ticket price: 60 yuan/person

Visit the garden during the day and watch the music fountain at night.

6. Nanputuo Temple and Xiamen University in the morning

Nanputuo Temple, one of the most famous Buddhist resorts in southern Fujian, was founded in the Tang Dynasty, located in the downtown area of Xiamen, with its back to Wulaofeng and facing the sea.

Xiamen University is adjacent to Nanputuo Temple.
