The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region strictly controls the import and export of all prohibited/controlled articles.
Common prohibited/controlled items include dangerous drugs, psychotropic substances, controlled chemicals, antibiotics, firearms, ammunition, firecrackers and fireworks, strategic goods, rough diamonds, animals, plants, endangered species, telecommunications equipment, game, meat, poultry and formula milk powder.
Passengers who bring the above articles into/out of the HKSAR without a valid licence or permit may be prosecuted and the articles concerned will be seized and confiscated.
