Where is Bianque Temple?
Bianque Temple, also known as Bianque Temple, is located in the west of Shentou Village at the foot of Que Mountain, 26 kilometers west of Neiqiu County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province. Built in the Warring States period, it has been repaired in all previous dynasties. This is an ancient architectural complex dedicated to Bian Que, the ancestor of traditional Chinese medicine. Built on the mountain, the left and right ridges support each other, and the Jiulong River flows through it, with a total area of 6.5438+0.5 million square meters.
Bianque Temple is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a national traditional Chinese medicine culture and education base. In 2006, Bianque Temple was listed in the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council. In July 2020, Shentou Village, where Bianque Temple is located, was selected as the second batch of national rural tourism key villages by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In June 2020, Bian Que Temple was selected as the first batch of TCM health tourism demonstration bases in Hebei Province.
Architectural Features of Bianque Temple
The ancient buildings of Bianque Temple are surrounded by mountains. The layout of the temple is rigorous, with wood and stone structure, painted beams, odd ridges and cornices, red bricks and green tiles. The whole is rectangular, arranged according to heaven (Jade Emperor), earth (Houtu) and people (Bian Que).
There are 19 Huisheng Bridge, Shanmen, Bian Que Hall, Houtu General Division Hall, Yuhuang Hall, Sanqing Hall, Laojun Hall, Baizi Hall, San Xiao Hall and Wangyao Hall, covering an area of10.5 million square meters, forming a huge ancient architectural complex centered on Bian Que Hall, with reasonable overall layout and compact structure; It is a typical northern Taoist temple group. Among them, Bianque Temple, Bian Que's Tomb, Touling Monument, Huisheng Bridge, Jiulongbai, Ancient Monument Gallery, Sanqing Hall and God Beasts in Han Dynasty are the eight major landscapes of Bianque Temple.
