I am going to Pingtan for a self-driving tour. Are there any nearby scenic spots or if you have any travel tips that you can give me? Thank you.

Having been a tour guide in Pingtan for a while, here are some words of experience. . .

The most representative attractions are Donghai Wonderland and Shipaiyang, which are also the most popular attractions.

East China Sea Wonderland is located in Liushui Town, about a fifteen-minute drive from the county seat. It is a scenic spot relatively close to the county seat. However, only half of the scenic spots have been developed at present, including Xianren Well, Xianren Valley, and Xianren Peak. Golden Guanyin, Niushan Island Niushan Lighthouse and other attractions, you can check the details in detail. This attraction is at the foot of Wangye Mountain. In fact, let me tell you, the beautiful scenery on Wangye Mountain is even more amazing, and there are also former military ruins. However, the mountain is steep and the road is dangerous, and it has not been fully developed by tourism. There are still many people who spontaneously go up to see it. The ticket price is 15 yuan per person.

Shipaiyang is the symbol of Pingtan. This scenic spot is the farthest from the county seat. It is in Suao Town and is the northernmost scenic spot of Pingtan Island. It is a 40-50 minute drive from the county seat. It's just two very tall stones standing in the middle of the sea. It's a stunning view. In the past, tourists could go to the stone plate and look up at it, but this year due to safety concerns, they can only take a cruise ship to circle around. I only know the previous selling price, which was 20 yuan for the boat ticket and 10 yuan for the entrance fee (it seems that it has been a long time and I can’t remember clearly, so it won’t be much different). By the way, you can see wind farms in the distance on the way to Shipaiyang, there are them near Luyang Township. If you are going to play by yourself, you can go to the wind farm to see the "big windmill" that generates wind power~~

There is another scenic spot worth visiting, which is Jiangjun Mountain. In Beicuo Town, about 30 minutes' drive from the county seat, it was left over from the joint exercise of the three armed forces in 1996. It has great historical value. There are monuments and some stone carvings and inscriptions inscribed by Vice Chairman Zhang Wannian at the time. It is also good to climb up the monument. The scenery is excellent. There is also a line of sky, which requires a dedicated person to lead the way, otherwise there is a high chance of getting lost. Tickets are 15 yuan

The above three attractions are almost must-visit places besides the beach. As for beaches, Longfengtou Beach (also called a resort) and Haitan Nanwan have the largest flow of people. The former is the largest in the area and the closest to the county town and is frequented by local residents. The latter has the whitest sand and sea. It is famous for being the bluest and cleanest. If you are traveling, I personally think it is more appropriate to go to the latter. There is no charge for both beaches, but some entertainment must charge, such as beach volleyball, motorcycles, horse riding, etc.)

In addition, Jinkun Resort is also good, located in Tannan Bay, near Jinkun Resort There is a roll-off pier where the Strait Cruises sails directly to Taiwan. You can go and have a look. If you are lucky, you can see the Straits Cruises

Other places and attractions are generally not very fun or more difficult to play. There are less people going there, such as Nanzhai Stone Forest and Haitan Goddess. In Nanzhai Stone Forest, you can climb up to see the stones, while in Haitan Goddess, you can go down to the sea to see the stones. . . . . . (Forgive me for speaking harshly, it’s just my personal intuition... There are many legends about stones. If you are interested, just listen to them... I would like to advise everyone, if you don’t want to just look at the rocks and listen to the stories and legends, don’t go)

The nearby attractions. . . After you enter the island, instead of going to the county town, if you go towards Aodong Town halfway, you can go to Nanzhai Stone Forest. A little further away is Jiangjun Mountain, and a little further away is Tannan Bay. These three places are the closest. And these three places are not very far from the county seat.

After arriving at the county seat, go north to the East China Sea Wonderland in Liushui Town. . . . Closer to the county seat.

Others are further away, just like Shipaiyang is far to the north. . .

Most of the above are based on experience and are for reference only. We apologize for any discrepancies

Any travel tips? Mu Zhi. . . Go online, there should be a lot of information on Pingtan’s tourism website. You can also ask local travel agencies.
