jining university was formerly Jining Teachers College. Jining Teachers College traces its roots to Tengxian District Cadre Culture Tutorial School, which was established in 1951. It was established in 1971 on the basis of Jining Teachers College and Qufu Teachers College, and was approved by the State Council as a full-time general college in 1978.

In July p>1998, Jining Education College was merged, and in July 2, Jining Art School was merged. In January 26, the school moved to Qufu. In March 27, Jining Teachers' College was upgraded to an undergraduate college, and it is now named. In November 28, qufu normal School was merged.
