Snow and ice in Russia's North Caucasus Mountains

The North Caucasus region of the Russian Federation is located in the southwestern border of Russia, starting from the Black Sea in the west and the Caspian Sea in the east, and the Great Caucasus Mountains run through it from northeast to southwest. Surrounded by mountains, the mountains overlap and stretch endlessly. In the northern part of the Great Caucasus Mountains are several autonomous countries of Russian minorities: Chechnya, Ingushetia, North Ossetia, Kabardino-Balkar, Caraccia-Chersk, etc. My trip to Russia is mainly between these countries.

Most Russians travel to China, mostly in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Although there are many good tourist resources in the North Caucasus in the southwest, they are not well known by China people. Because of this, you can enjoy the original ecological customs that ordinary people can't see here. My first stop in the North Caucasus: Caraccia, Chersk and Hudsky, China. It is almost a world-famous paradise, and only one family lives in a quiet and meticulous valley surrounded by mountains, guarding this beautiful scenery.

Lake Hula-Kerr, which is more than two kilometers away from the base, has thick snow in winter, and the surrounding snow-capped mountains are towering and beautiful.

Overlooking the highest mountain in Europe, Mount Elbrus. Mount Elbrus belongs to the Boko Voi branch of the Caucasus Mountains and consists of two dormant volcanoes, with an altitude of 5642 meters in the west and 5595 meters in the east. In the past, it was generally believed that Mont Blanc (4,807 meters above sea level) in the Alps at the junction of France and Italy was the highest peak in Europe.

This is not surprising, because Mount Elbrus is just on the dividing line between Europe and Asia. In the past, people regarded it as a mountain in Asia, but in fact it is more than 20 kilometers away from the dividing line between Europe and Asia. All the mountains are in Europe, and the whole mountain falls completely in Kabardino-Balkar and China, so the first peak in Europe is of course Mount Elbrus.

Surrounded by mountains, they overlap and extend deeply.

Blue sky and snow-white peaks are as beautiful as pictures everywhere.

The snow piled up on the mountain, forming a continuous band, undulating along the ridge, and under the sunlight, it was quite spectacular.

Wandering in the valley for a long time, my vision suddenly widened, and the distant mountains and valleys were just in front of me, suddenly enlightened.

It is the only way to enter the "Hujiesi" base, and a lady can't force it if she blocks 10,000 momentum.
