Tour Zhoucun Ancient Mall

On Sunday, my father and I came to the Zhoucun Ancient Mall in Zhoucun, Zibo.

1. Dyeing Fang

Dyeing Fang is the former site of Donglaisheng Silk Cloth Factory, which was founded during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. It mainly engages in pulp and dyeing industry. The TV series "Da Ranfang" was filmed in this setting. The play tells the story of the protagonist Chen Shouting's entrepreneurial journey from a beggar to an entrepreneur with strong assets, and describes the difficult road of China's industrial and commercial development.

Dyeing cloth is generally divided into three processes. The first step is burning. Don’t think that burning is an easy process. If you don’t do it well, it will be mixed with color. The second process is dyeing. The fabric is placed in a large pool. This pool is specially designed for dyeing. It needs to be soaked in the pool for dozens of minutes. The third step is to dry the cloth. In order to make the cloth soft, someone puts the cloth through two tall bamboo poles. This is a strenuous job. You still have to use your wits, and you can't get on even if you're not tall enough. It's really complicated to dye a piece of fabric. If you don't get it right, the colors will bleed, and it will become a waste product.

It is really a beautiful scenery to see strips of colorful cloth hanging on bamboo poles dancing in the wind. This kind of hand-dyed cloth is the old coarse cloth that the world admires and praises. This kind of old coarse cloth is not only soft, but also the best cloth in Zhoucun in ancient times.

After continuous innovation, we can now produce large quantities of high-quality fabrics, and they are all mechanized and modern advanced tools, breaking away from the previous manual printing and dyeing. This is also historical progress.

2. Folklore Exhibition Hall

With nostalgia for history in our hearts, we came to the Folklore Exhibition Hall. There are cars, sedans, carriages, etc. outside. A car had a shed built with wood at the back, two or three horses pulling it in front, and the car had wheels. Compared to now, there were not many such cars at that time. The sedan chair is a small wooden house decorated with beautiful floral cloth, fixed crosswise with four pieces of wood, and four people lift the sedan chair. The sedan chair was mainly used for weddings in the old days or for traveling by some famous families. There is also a cart, which was a taxi at that time, which was completely pulled by people, but the passengers sat comfortably and leisurely in the back to enjoy.

We looked at many daily necessities, such as looms, stoves and pots... Entering the first exhibition hall, we saw a clock on the table, wooden chairs on both sides, and a newlywed couple facing each other. Parents kneel down, this is the custom of marriage. Walking inside, I saw a girl looking in the mirror. Her jewelry was placed next to the dressing table, and her trousseau was placed in a wooden box. Walking up to the second floor, there is a lively scene in front of you. There are dragon dancers and trumpet players. There is a lively and festive scene everywhere.

Walking further inside, there is an exhibition of daily necessities, including shoes, wine jars, pancake griddles, food boxes, refrigerators, wooden basins, as well as the history of the development of kerosene lamps and various kinds of kerosene. Lamps occupy a large space in the exhibition hall. They have gone through a long historical period from oil lamps to portable lamps to hurricane lamps and now to electric lamps. From this change, we can see the progress of history and the ingenuity of mankind.

3. Today’s No-Tax Monument

The wordless monument records that Li Huaxi, a historical figure who made great contributions to the commercial development of Zhoucun, took all the responsibility for the economic development of his hometown. tax and established it? "Today's No-Tax Monument" makes Zhoucun the first "bonded zone" in Chinese history.

4. Ticket Number Exhibition Hall

The ticket number was the money at that time, which was the amount written on the paper and stamped, which is equivalent to today's check. The ancient password is based on the date you deposited the money, and the deposit time and amount are divided into several characters as the password. You can only withdraw the money with the ticket number and the unique password.

We also visited the Copper Coin Exhibition Hall. There were some coins of different denominations in the exhibition hall, and there was a hole in the middle, probably for the convenience of carrying by the ancients.

Then we came to the place where merchants and guests discuss business. First of all, it is the living room where guests and hosts discuss business. The host must provide three items for the guest, which is called "food, accommodation, and transportation", although the requirements are not very high. , but it was already very good at that time. All the money is buried under the bricks of the restaurant. Why is it buried there? Because the Chinese people can say this, there are many people supervising each other, and no one will steal. It is "the most dangerous place is also the safest place".

Going up to the second floor is the master’s study, where all the four treasures of the study are available. Further inside is the owner's living room.

This is the bank. In fact, money banks in the past were equivalent to banks today.

5. The Number One Scholar’s ??Mansion

Outside the Number One Scholar’s ??Mansion there is a golden plaque for the number one scholar, which was given by the emperor. In ancient times, the number one scholar was equivalent to the number one in the country, so the emperor was even more interested in the number one scholar. Much pampering. Entering the house, the house is elegant and elegant. What you see when you walk in is the wooden furniture. This is not made of ordinary wood, but pear wood grown for 50 years, which shows its preciousness. From the furniture and the momentum of the house, we can see the emperor's importance to the number one scholar and the status of the number one scholar at that time.

Going to the back, the back room is the master bedroom. Going further inside is the back garden, where the lake is clear, fish are swimming around, and there are rockeries and lotus flowers in the water.

6. Yang Family Courtyard

Yang Family Courtyard is the residence of Yang Ruiqing, a modern Shandong businessman.

When I walked into the courtyard, I found two chairs and a table, which were no different from ordinary furnishings. There was also a wooden bed on the right side. This was not a modern wooden bed, but looked like a small house with curtains hanging on both sides. The TV series "Dry Pier" was also filmed here, and it was precisely because of this TV series that it became famous.

7. Zhoucun Shaobings

When we come to Zhoucun, Zhoucun Shaobings are not necessarily in vain. We came to an authentic Zhoucun Shaobing time-honored brand and bought a few bags of Shaobings. While admiring the ancient shopping mall, you taste the delicious sesame cakes. The shop names on both sides of the street are hung high with cloth, which is particularly eye-catching. We seem to have returned to ancient times.

Zhoucun Ancient Mall has witnessed the process of history, which made me understand that the progress of history is inseparable from human beings. It is our ancestors who have left us so much precious history with their intelligence and wisdom. Wealth, we should cherish this wealth and continue to carry it forward.
