Main types of ecotourism resources

As early as 1999, the eco-tourism types were mainly bird watching, wildlife tourism, cycling tourism, drifting tourism, desert adventure, environmental protection, natural ecological investigation, skiing tourism, mountaineering adventure, Shangri-La adventure tour, ocean tour and so on, and 63 items were recommended to the world. There are 7 scenic spots in China, including China Biosphere Reserve 19 and China Botanical Garden 1 1. From 65438 to 0999, the National Tourism Administration and relevant departments gradually planned, developed and built a number of eco-tourism areas, the main types of which are oceans, mountains, deserts, grasslands, tropical animals and plants and so on. The form of eco-tourism in China has developed from primitive natural landscape to semi-artificial ecological landscape, and the tourist targets include Yuan Ye, glaciers, nature reserves and rural pastoral landscapes. The forms of eco-tourism include sightseeing, viewing, scientific research, exploration, hunting, fishing, pastoral picking and eco-agricultural activities, showing a diversified pattern.

Finally, tourism experts and experts from China International Eco-tourism Expo 2007 told us that although the practice of eco-tourism continues, many experts and scholars are still opposed to the development of eco-tourism in China. Most researchers believe that eco-tourism in the true sense should take ecological protection as the established premise and take environmental education and natural science knowledge as the core content, which is a high-level knowledge-seeking tourism activity. First of all, in the development and operation, ecotourism is a high-tech industry, which should be operated with the close participation of science and technology. Tourism developers and operators are required to have a good understanding of the characteristics of the ecosystem in their areas and have professional knowledge in ecological environment protection. Secondly, in the market, eco-tourism in the true sense requires participants to have a high awareness of environmental protection. Therefore, tourists who participate in eco-tourism need tourists to have certain environmental awareness, which is also a clear contrast with mass tourism. At present, many ecotourism practices in China do not meet the essential requirements of ecotourism. They emphasize the aspect of "knowing and entering nature" and ignore the goal of "protecting nature". Eco-tourism products developed in various places are not real eco-tourism products, but natural tourism or another form of sightseeing.

China International Eco-tourism Expo 2007 is the product of promoting economic development, eco-tourism construction and environmental protection. Its appearance is not only the need of the new tourism situation in China, but also the need of the development of world tourism. At the same time, it is also a new starting point to promote tourism development and enhance tourism economy in the case of scarce tourism resources.
