I visited the incredible city of La Paz and took many local photos.

Bolivia, South America

Visiting La Paz, Bolivia is a very special experience. This is a unique city in the basin between 3300 meters and 4000 meters above sea level. Everything is to make you have a real trip: traditional clothes, special atmosphere, unique geographical location, no fast food chain stores or western brands.

Once you land at an altitude of 4000 meters (providing extraordinary miracles), a minibus can take you to the center of 4 Bs (45cts). The adventure can begin.

In a few meters of space, you can see old women, businessmen, primary school students and even a large group of vendors installed in streets or shops. From classic sellers of fruit juice or empanadas to sellers of various electronic products (fake, of course), there are many tourist shops, as well as small ornaments such as hats, gloves and sweaters. Don't forget masked shoeshine workers and several shops with a slight tendency to "witchcraft". These stores display dead alpacas (even fetuses) and hang them on ropes or put them directly in wicker baskets.

The traffic here is very heavy. Although there are crosswalks, drivers are preferred, and 99% of them are drivers of minibuses, taxis or old dodge buses. If you don't like to walk high, a taxi can drop you off further (higher), just 14 yuan. Have the opportunity to look for different panoramic views of the city, or try wrestling with local wrestler Cholitas, the Latin American version of Lucilibre. Besides, this high level of daily life is not necessarily easy, especially for people who are sick like me. Sometimes it feels like being in the training room of Dragon Ball. Yes, each one has its own reference. Fortunately, my hotel is Latin American.

Very suitable for restoring physical strength.

Leaving the city for Copa Cabanes (and Lake Titicaca) and rising to El Alto at an altitude of 4000 meters, this is a completely different scene. The higher you climb in the city, the poorer the community. After reaching the peak, a suburb composed of unpainted red brick buildings, without any decoration, is home to 650 thousand people.

After a few minutes, nature took over everything. Endless countryside and huge snowy mountains. Further on, it is the majestic Lake Titicaca.
