Where is Zhoushan Port?

Zhoushan Port is located at the estuary of the Yangtze River, Qiantang River and Yongjiang River. The port pool is free from freezing and siltation, and has good protection conditions. It is an important part of the port community in the Yangtze River Delta and its basin. Zhoushan City in the northern sea of ??Zhejiang Province is located at the intersection of the north-south route of my country's eastern coast and the Yangtze River water system. It is backed by Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Ningbo and faces the East China Sea. It has unique geographical advantages. National Highway 329 runs across Zhoushan Island, and is connected to the mainland and Zhujiajian Island by car ferries. The port is 135 nautical miles from Shanghai in the north and 34 nautical miles from Ningbo in the west. It has opened 22 passenger routes: cargo routes to Sanya, Zhanjiang and Hong Kong in Hainan in the south, Dalian and Dandong in the north, and the Yangtze River to Wuhu, Wuhan and other places. Zhujiajian Civil Airport has been approved by superiors and is under construction.

The main function of Zhoushan Port is to serve the economic development of Zhoushan City, and also undertake the cargo transit tasks in the coastal areas of Zhejiang, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and parts of East and Central China. Zhoushan Port consists of three port areas: Laotang, Dinghai (Aoshan), and Shenjiamen (Putuo Mountain, Zhujiajian). The port area mainly includes the southern waters of Zhoushan Island. There are 59 kilometers of deep-water coastline and a port area of ??1,000 square kilometers. As of the end of 1991, there were 71 berths in Hong Kong (excluding the berths of fishery terminals in the port), including 1 berth of 200,000 tons, 5 berths of 10,000 tons or more, and 13 berths of 1,000 tons or more. There are 21 berths belonging to the port authority system (including 4 berths over 10,000 tons). The maximum berthing capacity of the wharf berth is 25,000 tons, and the maximum mooring capacity of the pontoon berth is 25,000 tons. The main anchorages in the port area include: Xiazhimen Diversion Anchorage, Mazhi Joint Inspection Anchorage, Putuo Mountain Tourist Anchorage, Yeya Mountain Joint Inspection and Waiting Anchorage, and Dian Dengshan Super Tanker Anchorage. The main channel entering the port is the Xiazimen Channel, from Xiazijiao to Liushushan, with a total length of 13,800 meters, a water depth of 22 meters and a width of 926 meters. The bottom is mud and gravel. The capacity of the channel without riding the tide is 150,000 tons. Ships; Shuangzhimen Channel, from Yaque Reef to Xiangshui Reef, with a total length of 7,400 meters, water depth of 37 meters, width of 741 meters, mud and rock bottom, and non-tide navigation capacity of 10,000 tons; Jintang Channel, from Huang From Mangshan to Tunizui, the total length is 14,800 meters, the water depth is 20 meters, and the width is 11,200 meters. The bottom is mud and the navigation capacity without tide is 100,000 tons; the Xihoumen Channel, from Hengduan Mountain to Laohu Mountain has a total length of 520 meters, a water depth of 20 meters, and a width of 1296 meters. It has a rocky bottom and a non-tidal navigation capacity of 10,000 tons. The port has three lighthouses, namely: Dongting Mountain (29 degrees 51 minutes 53 seconds N /122 degrees 35 minutes 3 0.3 seconds E), Caihuashan (30 degrees 07 minutes 0 seconds N / 121 degrees 51 minutes 48 seconds E), Taipingshan (30 degrees 04 minutes 59 seconds N / 121 degrees 49 minutes 16 Second E). The port has a warehouse area of ??17,100 square meters, a storage yard area of ??167,000 square meters, and a container storage capacity of 1,667 TEUs. There are 271 sets (vehicles) of machinery and equipment, and the maximum lifting capacity of a single cutting-edge machine is 16 tons.
