It’s your first time going to New Zealand, what should you do?
I am Sun Jie (nickname: Aunt Thirteen). I started my professional life from the first Ogilvy Recruit Trainee Program and experienced workplace experience from advertising to interaction to public relations. In the past four years while working in the Marketing Department of Tourism New Zealand's Shanghai Office, I was responsible for the operation of Tourism New Zealand's own online platform and diplomatic media platform, and worked and studied in Auckland, the New Zealand headquarters, for several months. Today, he works for Booking.com, the world's leading travel Internet company, and is responsible for social media marketing.
My relationship with New Zealand began in 2012. I had never heard of New Zealand before, and we got to know New Zealand through a work opportunity. I went to New Zealand five times in four years.
My footprints range from Reinga Skyline in the northernmost part of the North Island to Queenstown, the most famous place in the South Island: skydiving, bungee jumping, diving, riding horses, sliding on the sand, I tasted wine, sailed, watched stars, soaked in cheap sweet hot springs on the hot water beach, experienced underground caves by rope descent, saw wild dolphins and seals at close range, admired the beautiful scenery of snow-capped mountains by helicopter, and walked up and down volcanoes in the morning. On the island, I have stayed in B&Bs, youth hostels, apartments, hostels, holiday homes, and motels. I have also worked in Auckland for several months, experiencing a local life that is different from that of a transient.
For me, New Zealand is an "old friend". When I went there for the first time, it seemed like I had just met it. Many destinations are enough to be visited once, but she is like a spiritual paradise that will grow in your heart and take root and sprout. Even though you have changed your job now, you will still be an old friend again.
