Daze Mountain is located 35 kilometers northeast of Pingdu City, stretching at the border of Qingdao and Yantai, covering an area of ??324 square kilometers. Daze has many mountains, jagged rocks, strange springs and many places of interest. Since the Qin and Han Dynasties, many celebrities have hidden here. Shanbanzhizang Temple was built in the Tang Dynasty, also known as the Lower Temple. It was once very popular, but was destroyed by the Japanese army in 1943. The ruins that still exist are quite large in scale, and there are many stone carvings of Buddhist verses from past dynasties on the surrounding cliffs. On the east side of the site is the tower forest, with exquisite carvings and unique shapes. There is an "invitation platform" nearby. There is a "Jujing Pavilion" built on the Jujing Terrace on the west side of the temple, which is a stone pavilion. The mountain stream to the west of the pavilion is lush with trees and full of strange stones. It is said that Fan Li once came here to live in seclusion with Xi Shi, so it is named "Fan Li Stream". Go north along the steps from the temple, with gurgling streams all the way. In a short while, you will reach Rizhao Temple, commonly known as "Shangsi Temple", named after the sunrise. It was destroyed in the war and has been rebuilt in antique style. The nunnery is dedicated to goddesses such as Bixia Yuanjun, Wusheng Laomu, Guanyin Bodhisattva, and the Lady Sending Children. In the old days, the Rizhao Temple Fair in Dazeshan was held from March 18th to March 26th of the lunar calendar, and it was crowded with people. The stele records: "People from far and near come one after another, and people are everywhere. They often send plaques and erect plaques to show their great virtues. They build temples and send clothes to install their thrones." Today's Rizhao'an Temple Fair has become a grand festival that integrates religious pilgrimage, study and sightseeing, and leisure travel. There is a natural stone cave on the east side of the nunnery, as big as a Guangsha building, called "Lao Mu Cave", also known as "Lotus Cave". It is said that it was the place where Yang Siyu, a female disciple of the Virgin Mary of the Red Lotus, practiced art and practiced Taoism in the late Sui Dynasty. There is a huge box-shaped stone outside the cave, named "Box Stone", with the four characters "Book Collection Ten Thousand Volumes" engraved on it, which is said to be Yang's library. Outside the Lotus Cave, there are two ancient pine trees, growing opposite each other. One is crawling up, like a crouching dragon with its head raised, and is named Wolong pine; For the wonders of the mountains. On the west side of Rizhao Nunnery, there are many steles, many miles long and more than a hundred in number. This is the famous Daze Mountain Stele Forest, known as the "natural ancient calligraphy art exhibition hall". There are many springs in Daze Mountain, mainly distributed around the upper and lower temples, including Ruquan, Ganlu Spring, Pearl Spring, Yongquan, Fengchi, Tianchi... each with its own charm. The most fascinating thing is the octagonal glazed well located on the east side of the double-eye stone. It is made of granite strips and formed into an octagonal shape. It is said that a dragon once lurked here, so it is also called "Longtan". The water is several meters deep and never dries up all year round. According to historical records, there was a severe drought in the spring of the 30th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty. Long Wenming, the then magistrate of Laizhou, personally led his staff to the mountain to visit Longtan to pray for rain. Overjoyed, he built the Dragon God Temple next to Longtan to commemorate it. The temple has been abandoned for a long time. The water from various springs in Longtan merges into Huxi River and flows south to Shuimen. It pours into the deep valley, spraying beads and splashing jade, forming the spectacle of Huxi Waterfall. After leaving Rizhao Nunnery and crossing the dressing building, you will arrive at Ruiyun Peak. On the dangerous Yang wall are engraved with three giant characters "Ruiyun Peak" written by Wang Zhidu in the 36th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty. The characters are 3 meters in diameter and the writing is strong and like a A huge gold and jade curtain hangs high in the sky. Go up west, climb the "Eight Steps", cross the "Zhang Fei Ma Ma", cross the "Kite Turn Over", pass through the "Tongtian Cave", and you can reach the top of the North Peak with an altitude of 736 meters. On the top of the peak is engraved the phrase "I lean on the Big Dipper for five days." According to records, the top of the North Peak was once half built with rocks as a city, also known as the top of the imperial city and the Chimei Village. In the late years of Xinmang, the Red Eyebrow Rebel Army once occupied this mountain. During the Anti-Japanese War, this was the seat of the West Naval Division Headquarters of the Jiaodong Military Region. The North Peak is surrounded by peaks on three sides, with Feilai Peak in the west, Riguan Peak in the east and Jinganggu Peak in the south. On the west side of the north peak, a huge boulder more than several feet high stands. It is steep and dangerous. On it is engraved the four characters "lonely peak and solitary beauty", and is named "Eagle Never Lands on the Peak". From the North Peak to the West Peak, you need to pass through Jiulian Cave. Jiulian Cave is named after nine natural stone caves connected to each other. Each cave has inscriptions by famous people, such as "Mo Cang", "Xianfeng at the entrance of the cave", "Clouds in the sky see off guests, cranes come out of the cave to welcome people", etc. The road inside the cave is winding, the light is dim, and the breeze is blowing. Walking through it is like entering a fairyland, so it is also called Feixian Cave. Go south out of the cave, climb the "Ladder to Heaven", cross the "Line of Sky", and cross the "Immortal Bridge" to reach the top of the West Peak.
