Do people over 60 travel by suitcase or backpack?

As a tourism practitioner, and our customers are basically elderly people around 60 years old, most of the routes we take belong to unpopular tourist destinations. We have seen a lot in this respect, so I feel that I have a say. My following suggestions can be used for reference by all elderly friends!

As for the questioner's question, should I bring a suitcase or a backpack? Then it shouldn't be a short trip, at least a medium-long trip ~

If you are with a group, my personal suggestion is:

Take small backpack and luggage case!

Taking small backpack is a daytime trip, so you can bring water and your own travel documents.

A suitcase is used to hold your own clothes and necessities. Some friends may say that it is inconvenient for the elderly to climb stairs in their suitcases sometimes, but what I want to say is that most hotels booked by travel agencies have parking lots, so cars can drive to the hotel parking lot, and 90% hotels have luggage aisles, so it is easy to pull to the front desk. If it is inconvenient, you can ask a tour guide or hotel staff for assistance.

Some friends will say what if there is no elevator in the hotel? There are two ways.

First, we usually tell hotels to leave the lower floors in advance, because they are all elderly people.

Secondly, if there is no room on the lower floor, we will ask the hotel to help our elderly friends with their luggage, which will usually solve the problem easily.

Of course, we will try to choose a hotel with an elevator, so when elderly friends travel by themselves or with a group, try to book or tell the travel agency to book a hotel with an elevator. There is no elevator, you can tell the travel agency according to my suggestion!

As for why it is not recommended to carry a backpack, although it is convenient to carry, it is relatively heavy, and it is easy to sprain the waist if the back is not good. Backpackers are what young people do, so let them carry them!
