Dongya Zen Temple of Dongya Zen Temple-Tourism Resources

There are cliff carvings on the west and south sides of the stone cliff. The "flying place" on the south side is said to be the place where Jin Jizo entered and exited the east cliff. On the west side, "Yun Shen Shen", "Yun Fang" and "Gift to Monk Zhou Jing" are handwritten by Wang Yangming. When the clouds surge, the rock looks like a giant boat from a distance, so it is known as the "Cloud Boat". "Dongya Yunfang" is one of the ten scenic spots in Jiuhua Mountain. There is a spring in the northwest of the east cliff. When Ksitigarbha was bitten by poisonous insects in the cave, a woman came and said: "I am an ignorant boy. I would like to use the spring to make up for it. I will point a stone to the northwest and escape in the blink of an eye." Jin Ji Zang uncovered the stone and saw a spring. The water in the spring was clear and sweet. He washed his wounds with the spring and recovered immediately. Later it was found that it was helped by Dragon Girl, hence the name "Dragon Girl Spring". There is a clear spring in the northwest valley of Dongyan called "Dragon Girl Spring". According to legend, the monk Ksitigarbha had just grown grass and walked around to choose a place to live. When he was very thirsty, a woman told him where the spring was, and Ksitigarbha got the spring by making stones. This is the origin of the story of "Dragon Girl Presenting the Spring". Next to Dongyan Yunfang there is Dongya Bell Tower, and ahead there are Dongya Zen Temple, Guanyin Temple and other sights. Going further, you can reach the Centennial Palace and the newly built Five Hundred Arhat Hall.

Dongya Yunfang On the top of the East Cliff ridge, the boulder is square and shaped like a boat, so it is called "Dongya Yunfang". A temple was built on the top of the ridge in the Ming Dynasty, and was named "Dongya Jingshe" during the Wanli period. In the early Republic of China, a five-story Zoumatong Tower was built to accommodate the public, and it became the Shifang Jungle. It was destroyed by fire in January 1934. The current temple was rebuilt on the original site by the abbot Monk Guoci from 1995 to 1996. It faces south from the north and is in the style of a residential building. It contains the Main Hall and the Ksitigarbha Hall. There is a "Feihong Bridge" built on the cliff south of the hall, with a hexagonal pavilion in the middle. A bridge connects the hall and the cliff, "the natural chasm becomes a thoroughfare." Dongya Zen Temple is exquisitely designed and fresh in style. It stands on the top of the mountain and is majestic.
