Old Town of Lijiang was founded in the late Song Dynasty and early Yuan Dynasty, with a history of more than 800 years. The ancient city covers a total area of about 3.8 square kilometers, and 1986 was listed as a national historical and cultural city. Located in ninglang county, Lugu Lake is one of the nine plateau lakes in Yunnan Province.
