Can I travel to Colombia with an American study visa?

Yes, you can stay for 90 days.

The United States has implemented new visa measures for China passport holders. The validity of student visas (except F, including M and J visas for visiting exchange scholars) is extended to 5 years at the longest, and the business tourist visa is extended to 10 year. In addition to avoiding the trouble of repeatedly submitting visa applications, the latest advantage of American visas that have been in the country for more than ten years is visa-free entry to Colombia.

Note: Visa measures are conditional visa-free, and travelers with ordinary passports in China cannot go directly to Colombia for personal reasons.

According to the latest announcement on the IATA website, China passport holders who meet certain conditions and have proof of round-trip air tickets will be granted visa-free treatment. This information was also confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

According to the express provisions, China passport holders must meet the following conditions to enjoy visa-free treatment:

1) with a valid China passport;

2) Holding a Schengen visa of Class C or D or an American visa other than C 1;

3) The above qualified visas shall be valid for at least 180 days from the date of arrival in Colombia.

China passport holders who meet the above conditions can stay for up to 90 days upon entry.

In addition to Colombia, American business tourist visas (Category B) with entry 10 years or more can also enjoy landing visa or visa-free treatment in the following countries:

1) Mexico: visa-free stay 180 days.

2) Philippines: visa-free stay for 7 days (according to the express provisions, American visas and Canadian visas can be exempted from visas, without specifying whether a green card is needed).

3) Honduras: visa-free stay for 30 days (you must hold a US, Canadian or Schengen visa with a remaining validity of more than 6 months).

4) Dominican Republic: visa-free stay for 30 days.

5) Panama: You can stay for 30 days without a visa if you have a valid US visa and have used it at least once.

6) Montenegro: visa-free stay for 7 days.

7) Bermuda: visa-free stay 180 days.
