Legend of Kanas Lake Monster

According to legend, a long time ago, Genghis Khan traveled westward through Kanas Lake and saw such a beautiful place. He decided to stay here for a while and let his troops have a rest.

Genghis Khan drank the lake to quench his thirst and asked his generals what kind of water it was. A clever general replied, "This is Kanos (Mongolian means the water of Khan)."

All the soldiers replied in unison: "This is the water of Khan." Genghis Khan said, "Let's call this lake Kanas Lake."

So in the legend of Tuwa people, they are descendants of Genghis Khan. After Genghis Khan's death, his body sank into Kanas Lake, and Tuwa people, as Genghis Khan's personal soldiers, stayed in Kanas Lake for generations. "Lake Monster" is Duan Qin's "Lake Sage" to protect Genghis Khan's undead from infringement.
