Come follow my lens and take you to record this last ferry. /201911014415141572589734864509.mp4?647

Yuhuan Ro-Ro Ferry started operation on June 29, 2003. At that time, the Yueqing Bay Bridge had not yet opened. If I wanted to go to Yuhuan, ferry was the most popular way for citizens to travel. In its heyday, the passenger flow of the ferry was very large, and the ferry departed every 20 minutes. Nowadays, people travel less and less by boat, and the ferry frequency has been changed to every 80 minutes. ?

With the advancement of social times, transportation has changed dramatically.

The ferry will eventually say goodbye to us, but I didn’t expect it to be so soon. ‘

Start entering the station to buy tickets. Hearing the news that the ferry was going to be suspended, Mr. Li came here to take the last ferry and bought two tickets, keeping the extra one as a souvenir.

After the ferry company stopped running, some people were transferred to other jobs and some were laid off. The staff member who was checking tickets was named Su Wei, who was from Yuhuan and was also the last person to board the boat. Standing on the last watch may be the best farewell to the ferry for Su Wei, and also the best commemoration.

The sea breeze was blowing, and the low whistle of the ferry rang in my ears.

There were not as many passengers coming and going as I imagined.

After watching the passengers off, the staff on the ferry put away the deck, got on the battery car and finally left.

The once busy ferry is in stark contrast to what it is now.

The cabin is divided into upper and lower floors, and the cabin space is wide.

‘’Photographers used their lenses to record the scene of the disappearing ferry

Passengers took photos on board to commemorate it.

Yueqing Daily reporter Hu Shuai also came to experience the last ferry.

At 16:30 in the afternoon, "Woo..." the whistle sounded, the setting sun shone on the sparkling sea, and the last ferry flight slowly left the pier... The ferry that has been with us for nearly 17 years, this time, we really have to say goodbye!

The figure of the ferry gradually faded out of sight, driving farther and farther away.

When the Yuhuan Ro-Ro Ferry was suspended

it also gave birth to a new era of leapfrog development

In 2018, the Yueqing Bay Bridge was officially opened to traffic.

It only takes 20 minutes from Yueqing Nantang to Yuhuan

From now on, there is no need for a ferry or a long detour from Yueqing to Yuhuan

You can get on the expressway directly at your doorstep

< p> From "birth" to "growth" to "curtain call",

Yuhuan Ferry has not only traveled people's journeys,

has also witnessed the huge and real changes of this era. .
