At present, all countries and regions regard tourism as an important industry to develop. Liaoning province has set the goal of building a strong tourism province, and launched the tourism image logo of Liaoning and the theme slogan of "full of breezes and colorful Liaoning", and Shenyang has also launched the city positioning slogan of "vibrant capital". Based on the concepts and characteristics of tourism image-building and advertising, this paper explains the importance of tourism image-building and advertising, and they complement each other. This paper introduces the tourism resources in Shenyang, investigates the image of Shenyang tourism and the present situation of advertising, and finds out the problems existing in Shenyang tourism. Shenyang's tourism industry has a good foundation and has developed rapidly since the mid-199s. However, it lacks efforts in the image building and advertising of the tourism industry, and faces problems such as insufficient industrial policy support and lack of tourism products. In view of the existing problems, this paper puts forward the solutions to the existing problems of Shenyang tourism. The Shenyang municipal government should pay more attention to them, deepen the reform of tourism, strive to create a good image, increase tourism propaganda and solve the existing problems.
