Wuyuan tourist attractions

Wuyuan tourist attractions include Jiangwan Scenic Area, Wuyuan Huangling Tourist Resort, Dazhang Mountain Wolong Valley Scenic Area, Lingyan Cave Scenic Area, and Wengong Mountain Scenic Area.

1. Jiangwan Scenic Area:

It is located in Jiangwan Village, Dongjiangwan Town, County, covering an area of ??3 square kilometers. The main features of the area are natural landscapes, official residences and residences, relics of famous people, clan ancestral halls, ancient wells and arch bridges, and folk customs. In December 2004, it was rated as a national 4A-level tourist attraction; in December 2012, it was listed as a "Chinese Traditional Village"; in January 2013, it was awarded the national 5A-level tourist attraction.

2. Wuyuan Huangling Tourist Resort:

It is located in Huangling Village, Dongjiangwan Town, County, covering an area of ??7 square kilometers. It is a comprehensive scenic spot integrating tourism, leisure vacation, cultural experience, outdoor sports, conferences and exhibitions. The scenery in the area is mainly characterized by the autumn scenery of Huangling Mountains, terraced fields, cottage villages, and ancient Huizhou buildings. In 2014, the Huangling Autumn Festival was rated as "the most beautiful Chinese symbol". In May of the same year, Wuyuan Huangling Tourist Resort was rated as a national 4A tourist attraction.

3. Dazhang Mountain Wolong Valley Scenic Area:

It is located in the north of Dazhang Mountain Township in the north of the county, covering an area of ??25 square kilometers. It is a mountainous scenic spot with the main features of beautiful peaks and mountains, deep canyons, waterfalls and flowing springs, deep colorful pools, dense forests and strange trees. In December 2005, it was rated as a national 4A tourist attraction.

4. Lingyan Cave Scenic Area:

It is located in the northwest corner of Zhangshan Township, Beida County, covering an area of ??30 square kilometers. The scenery in the area is famous for the Lingyan cave group, famous and ancient trees, stone forest wonders, and the autumn colors of the stone city. The ink paintings from the Tang and Song Dynasties are especially precious. In May 1993, it was designated as "Lingyan Cave National Forest Park"; in July 1995, it was listed as "Lingyan Cave Provincial Scenic Area"; in April 2008, it was rated as a national 4A tourist attraction.

5. Wengong Mountain Scenic Area:

It is located at the junction of Ziyang Town and Zhongyun Town in the south of the county, covering an area of ??2 square kilometers. The main scenic spots in the area include lush green forests, ancient bluestone roads, stone bridge pavilions, Zhu Xi's ancestral tomb, and the "King of Jiangnan fir trees" hand-planted by Zhu Xi, etc. In February 2009, it was rated as a national 4A tourist attraction.
