How to apply for an Irish personal tourist visa? What is the process for applying for an Irish visa?

Ireland has not yet fully opened independent travel visas for Chinese nationals, and reservations from travel companies are required.

The rejection rate for individual travel is relatively high, and individuals need to have certain strong assets.

The following are the requirements for individual tourist visas

If your travel destination includes both Ireland and the United Kingdom, please refer to the Irish Short-term Visa Waiver Program first.

If you are a citizen of a country that requires an Irish visa and want to travel to Ireland for a short period of time (no more than three months), you should prepare the following application materials.

Personal materials and application fee

The applicant’s original passport. The passport is valid for at least six months longer than the time you plan to leave the country. Please provide a copy of the first page of your passport, the personal information page, all visas, and all stamps. If you have an old passport, please submit it along with it.

A signed summary of the online application form. Please refer to our application form page for details.

Two passport-size color photos taken within the last 6 months. The photos must meet our specifications

The original, copy and translation of the resident household registration book.

If you are married or have children under 18 years old, and your spouse or children are not traveling with you. You will need to submit your marriage certificate or your child's birth certificate.

Please provide details of family members currently living in Ireland or other EU countries.

Proof of funds

Proof of funds sufficient to cover your entire trip. Proof of funds should include bank deposit certificates, passbooks, deposit certificates or original bank statements. Proof of funds should cover funding history for at least six months prior to the application submission date.

A reservation for accommodation.

Travel/medical insurance covering the entire trip. Please note that you may be asked to provide your travel medical insurance when entering Ireland.

Documents proving your obligation to return to your home country or place of residence.

If you are employed, you will need to present a letter of employment. The content of the letter should include: the time you were employed, the date when your annual leave started, the date you returned to work, and the name and contact information of the contact person at the workplace who issued the letter of employment.

If you are a full-time student, your school needs to issue a letter of enrollment, including how long you have been studying at the school and how many semesters/years you have left to complete your courses. Returned to school after visiting Ireland.

If you are unemployed or retired, you need to submit relevant materials to prove your social or economic ties with the country.

All visa applicants are required to submit a signed declaration letter in Chinese and English to ensure that the applicant will comply with the visa regulations and will not become a burden to Ireland; the maximum period of time the applicant can visit Ireland is 90 days days; their visa will not be renewed while in Ireland and they will return to China before their residence permit expires.

Other materials

The arrangements for your entire trip, including the time you plan to leave your place of residence, the time you plan to arrive in Ireland, your itinerary in Ireland and the requirements for your trip Arrangements to travel to other countries.

Children under the age of 18 traveling with one parent must submit a consent form from the other parent. In addition to submitting this signed consent form, a copy of their passport and ID card must also be provided.

If one parent has full custody, you must submit a court order proving full custody.

If you are traveling to another country before visiting Ireland, you must obtain a visa for that country before applying for an Irish visa.

Please note that if you have submitted any original materials that you would like us to return to you, please list them and please submit a copy of the materials as well. Otherwise, we will consider the original document for which no copy has been submitted as one that you do not want us to return.

We will process your visa application as quickly as possible, but please allow 10 working days for processing.

We strongly recommend that you do not purchase a ticket until a decision has been made on your visa application. If your visa is not approved, you may suffer unnecessary losses.
