Where is the Jiulong Mountain Scenic Area?
Jiulong Mountain Scenic Area is located at the southern end of Shuangta Town, pulandian city, belonging to Qianshan Mountain, facing Wei Ba Mountain City, a national scenic spot, 30 kilometers away from Anbo Hot Spring Resort and 20 kilometers away from Biliuhe Reservoir Scenic Area. 75 kilometers away from Pulandian city, it is famous for its rich stone materials. In 1980s, local people found a group of cliff stone carvings in Jiulong Mountain, engraved with Buddhist 18 arhats, which were verified by experts as 1670. In order to prevent wind and rain erosion, the local government built stone houses for protection. The governments of Liaoning Province and Dalian have successively erected monuments, making it clear that it is a provincial-level cultural relic and protecting it. Jiulong Mountain Scenic Area covers an area of 1 1,000 mu, with the highest peak at an altitude of 380 meters. After 800 years of wind and rain, the cliff statue of Wanghai Temple, a provincial-level protected cultural relic, is still vivid, with lush trees, rugged rocks, superior human environment and unique natural landscape. Cliff stone carvings are located on the south slope of Jiulong Mountain Scenic Area in Shuangta Town. It is a key cultural relic protection unit in Liaoning Province, which was founded in the Jin Dynasty. Because there is a Wanghai Temple about 20 meters southeast of the cliff, it is named Wanghai Temple Cliff Statue. The cliff where the stone carving is located is about 5 meters high and 7.26 meters long. The original 18 statue, one of which stood in the niche, has been destroyed, and the remaining 17 statues are reliefs, most of which are well preserved. Five Buddha statues recently unearthed behind Wanghai Temple were identified as excellent Buddhist works 2,000 years ago by relevant departments. It not only reveals that Buddhist culture was introduced into southern Liaoning 2000 years ago, but also marks that stone carving art was introduced into Shuangta Town at the same time.
