New Zealand Tourism Route Planning Table (2)

New Zealand is an island country with rich tourism resources, so we should do a good job of fresh strategy before going. Dear, I'm here to sort out the schedule of New Zealand tourist routes for you (2). Welcome to reading.

First stop Christchurch-Kaikula Accommodation: Kaikula

Mileage: 182km, 2.5h according to Google, and 4h actually.

Tour route: Christchurch-Kaikula

Oakland to Christchurch in the morning.

I left Christchurch for Kaikula around three o'clock in the afternoon. Because they just got the car, they both drove carefully in the afternoon, and this road was just in the New Zealand earthquake zone before, and some roads were under maintenance, so they had to go around the mountain road and pass through different scenery such as coast, mountains, countryside and beaches, so they basically drove from Christchurch to Kaikula for four hours, stayed at a resort and saw the most beautiful flaming clouds.

Here, you can take part in or experience many sea activities, such as whale watching or dolphin watching, as well as our choice of Kaikula sea fishing.

Second stop Kaikula-Christchurch-Tikapu Accommodation: Tikapu

Mileage: 402 kilometers, Google shows 5 hours, actually 6-7 hours.

Tour route: Kaikula Sea Fishing-Tikapu-Stargazing Tour.

Don't miss it: Kaikula sea fishing, Tikapu starry sky

Outdoor sports are the most sensitive to the weather. The next morning in Kaikula, the sea fishing was cancelled because of the heavy wind and waves. However, we still had a delicious lobster dinner at the famous bbq barbecue restaurant by the sea, which didn't waste our time in detouring to Kaikula. Starting at one o'clock in the afternoon, the mountain road from Kaikula to Christ, plus rainy weather, arrived at Tikapu around seven o'clock in the evening and watched the stars late at night.

Tikapu is a famous star city. You can't miss the stargazing tour here. You can participate in the stargazing organized by the travel agency.

Of course, you can also go to the Good Shepherd Church to shoot the starry sky yourself. Stargazing is closely related to the weather, so we are very lucky. The first time I saw the stars all over the sky, I could only describe them as amazing, and I could also see the Southern Cross (the brightest star in the sky) that was not found in the northern hemisphere.

If we are lucky, we can also enjoy the colorful light and shadow ensemble of Antarctic light. We deluded ourselves into thinking that we saw the southern lights. Generally, Antarctic light can only be seen in the southern half of the South Island, and can be seen in Lake Tikapu, Dunedin, Queenstown, the southern region and Stewart Island.

Third stop Tikapu-Mount Cook-Tikapu Accommodation: Tikapu

Mileage: 2 14km, one-way Google display 1h 15m, actual 1h 15m.

Tour route: Lake Pukaki-Mount Cook-Lake Tikapu-Good Shepherd Church.

Don't miss it: 20 km hook trail hiking on Mount Cook, alpine salmon, Lake Tikapu and Good Shepherd Church.

With the driving experience of the previous two days, from this day on, our actual driving time basically coincides with the time shown on the map. Today's trip is hiking on Mount Cook, and we will pass the beautiful Lake Pukaki along the way. Don't miss the fresh alpine salmon. Along the way, snow-capped mountains, flat highlands and farmland interweave into beautiful scenery.

Mount Cook is a famous hiking spot in the South Island of New Zealand. We chose the classic Hook Trail for hiking. Round trip for 20 kilometers, 4 hours, all the way to snow-capped mountains, green spaces, waterfalls and streams, and finally to an ice lake with ice floes on the surface.

Before coming back from Mount Cook, we went to Lake Tikapu. Lake Tikapu, surrounded by the towering Alps, has a gem-clear lake, and the shepherd's church by the lake is also famous.

Fourth stop Tikapu-Wanaka-Arrow Town-Queenstown Accommodation: Queenstown

Mileage: 266 kilometers, Google shows 3.5h hours, actually 4 hours.

Tour route: john seale-john seale breakfast-Wanaka learning to fly-Arrow Town-Queenstown cable car buffet dinner.

Don't miss: buffet dinners in cable cars in Mount John, Arrow and Queenstown.

Depart from Tikapu in the morning and go to "Outdoor Sky" Queenstown. Enjoy a perfect breakfast at Mount John. After overlooking the two lakes, drive to Wanaka to participate in the flight experience. Then stop at Arrow Town, a small gold mining town, and go to Queenstown.

Arrive at Sky Cable Car before 8 pm, enjoy a delicious buffet dinner (reservation is required in advance) and overlook the beautiful night view of Queenstown.

Fifth stop Queenstown-Greenwich-Paradise Town-Queenstown Accommodation: Queenstown

Mileage: 140km, Google shows 46Min, but it is actually1h.

Tour route: Queenstown Skydiving-Lake Wakatip-Grinoch-Paradise Town-Queenstown.

Don't miss it: skydiving, self-driving paradise town

Take part in skydiving or paragliding in Queenstown in the morning, leaving an unforgettable experience for the trip.

In the afternoon, along the beautiful Lake Wakatip, all the way to the legendary Greenock and Paradise Town, looking for Middle-earth in The Lord of the Rings. Believe me, although you have arrived in Paradise Town, the road to Paradise is endless. If you keep driving, you will cross aspirin hill and drive all the way to the west coast. So when we get to Paradise Town, we can turn around as appropriate.

Sixth stop, Queenstown Leisure Day Accommodation: Queenstown
