This ship is a large-tonnage and modern new guided missile destroyer designed and built by China. According to the British "Jane's Battleship Yearbook", the ship has a total length of 153 meters and a width of 16.5 meters, with a standard displacement of 5,000 tons and a full displacement of 6,600 tons. It is driven by two shafts with a maximum speed of over 30 knots. It is equipped with modern advanced weapons such as anti-ship missiles, ship-to-air missiles, anti-submarine homing torpedoes and automatic artillery, as well as new equipment such as air-to-sea search radar, long-range warning radar, navigation radar, fire control radar, hull sonar, variable depth sonar, operational command system and electronic warfare system, and also equipped with ship-borne helicopters, which have strong comprehensive combat capabilities against the sea, air defense and anti-submarine.

This visit to Japan is also the seventh visit (docking) of the ship, setting a record for the largest number of visits (docking) by the people's navy.
