Original text:
Shengchazi·Wandering Alone at Xiyan
Xin Qiji
Qingshan cannot recruit you, so who will pity you? It's too cold at the end of the year, so I was advised to live by the stream.
The bright moon comes from the top of the mountain, but it is high in the sky. Go to Qingxi every night and listen to and read "Li Sao".
Notes:
①① In the winter of the eighth year of Chunxi (1181), Xin Qiji was falsely accused and dismissed from office, and he lived idle by Daihu Lake in the north of Shangrao City for a long time. Xiyan is located in the south of Shangrao City and has beautiful scenery. This poem is a record of his travels during his leisure time.
② Yan Jian (yǎn jiǎn): tall.
③生: particle, meaningless.
Translation:
Towering green mountains, if you are aloof and do not listen to the call, who else will like to appreciate you? (Qingshan responds) At the end of the year and in the cold winter, come often to the mountains and streams, (let us keep each other company and face the cold). A bright moon rises quietly on the top of the mountain, only to find that it has already risen from the horizon. Now it is hanging high in the sky, shining silver light all over the earth. The bright moon, the mountains, and the clear streams all seem to be listening to my recital of "Li Sao" (I hope they can understand my intention, people share this sentiment, and my heart shares this scene)
Appreciation
Xiyan is located sixty miles south of Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. The rocks here rise from the ground, shaped like a bell, and are hollow and hanging like snails. There are dripping rim stones hanging down, and the water is cool and cold. It is a tourist attraction. At that time, the author was living in Daihu, Shangrao.
"If Qingshan can't recruit you, who will pity you?" You want to recruit Qingshan, but Qingshan doesn't come, so you blame Qingshan for being proud and arrogant, saying who will like you again from now on? The witty words of explanation are not really about resenting the mountain, but only express the poet's lonely feelings from the side. Originally, it was impossible for the mountain to "come at once", and the words seemed to be "unreasonable". It became more and more difficult to live with itself at this moment, and it was infinitely sad. "Yan Jian", "Zuo Zhuan? Sixth Year of Ai Gong": "They are all Yan Jian, and they will abandon their sons' lives." Du Yu's interpretation: "Yan Jian, Jiao Ao (proud)". Or the original meaning is towering, and the extension is pride and arrogance. Su Shi's "Poetry of Zhang Zhongshe Shouletang in Yuezhou": "The jian in the green mountains is like an expert, and often refuses to enter the government." "Pity", pampering, liking. Bai Juyi's poem "White Peony": "I pity this bright nature, no one loves it." The third or fourth sentence is changed, and a new idea is found: "It is too cold at the end of the year, calling me to live by the stream." Time changes and the scenery changes. , in the coldest month of winter, Qingshan also felt lonely and lonely, and it took the initiative to invite me to live by the stream. At this time, the relationship between mountains and people can be said to be "I see how charming the green mountains are, and I know how charming the green mountains should be when I see them. Emotions and appearance are slightly similar" ("Congratulations to the Bridegroom"). "生" is a particle. The scenery of the water and the mountains is great for entertaining people. Li Bai's "Sitting Alone on Jingting Mountain" says: "I never get tired of seeing each other, only Jingting Mountain." Zhong Xing commented: "There is nothing in my heart and no one in my eyes" ("Return of Tang Poems"). The mind is magnanimous, and although it is "alone", it is not lonely; the eyes cannot tolerate the slightest dust, and look down upon those ugly and vulgar people. The first film is silent, but the author's passion is revealed in the second film.
"The bright moon comes from the top of the mountain, but it is high in the sky." From the previous film "Call Me", we have already seen the affectionate nature of the green mountains, and now the bright moon that was originally high in the sky has also appeared on the top of the mountain, and seems to regard me as a confidant. Things, myself, scenery, and feelings are harmonious and intimate, creating a tranquil and comfortable mood. Finally, I wrote lightly, deeply and implicitly: "Go into the clear stream every night and listen to and read "Li Sao"." Not saying that the clear stream reflects the moon, but saying that the moon sneaks into the clear stream, and it only turns around when I finish reading "Li Sao". "Go" indicates the direction of action. "The death chapter shows his ambition", but it is still implicit and thought-provoking.
This poem is titled "Wandering Alone in Xiyan", which is actually a night reading in Xiyan. At first it was said that Qingshan failed to call me, but then something changed. Not only did he not "call me", he came to "call me" instead. The pen is light and agile, and the whimsy and wit are visible everywhere you touch. "Xin Zhi's creation of words is more outstanding than that of Su" (Xie Zhangcheng's "Words of Betting and Chess Villa"), which can be seen in this word. Moreover, when expressing the ideological connotation of the work, it "reduces ambition, resists high-profile, becomes gentle, and becomes desolate" (Zhou Ji's "Preface to the Catalog of Selected Poems of the Four Scholars of the Song Dynasty"), which is only lightly teased from "Reading "Li Sao"". Sima Qian said: "Li Sao is also about being free from worries. ... Qu Ping's "Li Sao" is based on self-pity. "Guo Feng" is lustful but not lewd, and "Xiao Ya" is resentful but not chaotic. If "Li Sao" is written , it can be said to be both" ("Historical Records" Volume 84 "Qu Yuan Biography"). "Qu Yuan was exiled and wrote "Li Sao" ("Report to Ren An"). This work, which is "resonant and magnificent, outstanding in this world" (Lu Xun's words), has strong patriotism thoughts and feelings throughout the poem. During the reign of King Huai of Chu, Qu Yuan served as an important disciple second only to Ling Yin. He actively engaged in reform activities and once gained the trust of King Huai, but was later slandered and alienated. During the reign of King Qingxiang of Chu, he was exiled to the south of the Yangtze River due to the jealousy of the rulers. Xin Qiji "raised banners to support tens of thousands of men when he was in his prime, and Jin Hu suddenly rode across the river at the beginning", but the result was that "he exchanged ten thousand words for the army to plant trees and books" ("Partridge Sky"). Qu and Xin are similar in many aspects.
The author is talented in both civil and martial arts, but like Qu Yuan, he has not been able to realize his ambition.
Although Zhu Xi passed by the luxurious villa with a lake in Shangrao and "sneaked in to look at it, thinking that he had never seen it" (Chen Liang's "Yu'an Dian"), but for Zhu Xi, he only wanted to "solve the affairs of the king and the world and win fame both before and after his death". "("Broken Array") is still so embarrassing for Xin Qiji! Knowing this, although the title of the poem is "Wandering Alone at the Western Rocks", and Guanmai read "Li Sao" at night, we should have a deeper understanding.
