That yellow interface is equivalent to the food you put on his frog table. If the food you put on the table is the kind that he can eat for a long time, you won't go out. But generally speaking, if there is something in the backpack, the frog will definitely go out with the backpack. If you put things in your backpack, the frog still chooses to stay at home, probably because the game is flawed or the frog is willful.
