Tourism in Qinlan Town

Bao Gong Temple

Bao Gong Temple was built in memory of Mr. Bao. In fact, Bao Gong has never been to Qinlan, so why is his ancestral hall built in Qinlan? It turns out that Gaoyou Lake belongs to Chenzhou, and Bao Gong is highly respected in Chenzhou because of his "grain release in Chenzhou". The Jade Emperor brought a disaster to Chenzhou for unknown reasons, causing the entire city to sink to the bottom of the lake. After the flood flooded Chenzhou, the water washed Chenzhou's wooden statue of Bao Gong to Qinlan. The people of Qinlan were well-known for Lord Bao's unselfishness. When Lord Bao accidentally "came" to Qinlan, the people of Qinlan respected him even more and immediately built the Temple of Lord Bao facing north and south on Xizhong Street. I heard from my grandfather that there are three and a half "Bao Gong" statues in the country, and the "Bao Gong" in Qinlan is one of them.

Legend of Generals

It is said that there were two generals guarding Qinlan. They were Qin Shubao and Dou Jiande, the famous generals of the Tang Dynasty. The two are extremely powerful and uphold justice. They are respected and loved by everyone in Qinlan. During the disputes between the Southern and Northern Dynasties, they fought bloody battles, mobilized the people to defend themselves, dealt a heavy blow to the looting by bandits and stragglers, and maintained the stability of Qinlan. After General Qin Dou died in Qinlan, the people in the village took the initiative to raise funds to bury him beside the gates of Guandi Temple and Dizang Temple so that people could worship him all year round.

Twenty-Four Filial Piety

The Filial Son Tree is one kilometer east of Qinlan Town. There is a thousand-year-old cypress. It is said that Zhu Shouchang, the leader of the Twenty-four Filial Piety in the Song Dynasty, personally planted it beside his mother’s grave. Plant, known as the filial son tree.

Zhu Shouchang, courtesy name Kangshu, was a native of Qinlan, Tianchang in the Song Dynasty, and his official title was Sinong Shaoqing. His mother, Mrs. Liu, was abandoned by his father when Zhu Shouchang was seven years old. Since then, mother and son have been separated for 50 years. In the early years of Song Xining's reign, he abandoned his official position and traveled thousands of miles to look for his mother, and finally reunited with her in Tongzhou (now Dali County, Shaanxi Province). After returning, he carefully supported his mother until her death. Zhu Shouchang's mother was afraid of thunder when she was alive. After her death, whenever there was a severe thunderstorm, Zhu Shouchang would always hold an umbrella to the grave to protect her. Three years after fulfilling his filial piety, Song Shenzong Zhao Suo praised his filial piety and ordered that the official be reinstated. Zhu Shouchang left Qinlanqian, went to his mother's grave, and planted a pine and cypress tree to represent that he would always accompany his mother.

Old Street

Qinlan Old Street is composed of four main streets facing north, south facing north, east facing west and west facing east. Most of them are blue bricks and gray stone. Siheyuan. There are archways on each street of Cross Street, all of which are built symmetrically according to the Bagua Diagram. Qinlan people are commonly known as "Zuanmenzi". The cornices on the archway are upturned, and wind chimes are hung on them. There is a plaque on the east archway with the four characters "Zi Qi Dong Lai" in regular script inscribed by local people. There is also a couplet composed of two sets of lantern riddles on both sides. The first line is "The sun and moon shine on the earth, the five strokes of the sky, the sky", the second line is "Xinvmenzhongshi Yanqingshanshanshan", and the answer is "Above and aboveboard, if you want to make trouble, please come out". The fonts are round and dignified, the writing force is vigorous and vigorous, and the stipples are smooth and full. From them, you can appreciate the prosperity of the ancient town and the simplicity of the folk customs.

In the past, "loyalty, filial piety and justice" were reflected in Qinlan. "Zhong" has the Bao Gong Temple, "filial piety" has the Filial Son Temple, "Jie" has the Zhou Family Chastity Archway, and "righteousness" has the Emperor's Temple. Unfortunately, these cultural monuments have almost disappeared over time and man-made damage.
