Qinghai Normal University has distinctive majors, namely: finance, electronic information engineering technology, computer application technology, tourism management, primary education, Chinese, preschool education, applied English and so on. Qinghai Normal University, referred to as Qinghai Normal University for short, is located in Xining, the capital of Qinghai Province. 1956 was founded as Qinghai Normal University, 1958 was upgraded to Qinghai Normal University, and 1984 was renamed Qinghai Normal University. After 1997, Qinghai Institute of Education, Qinghai Teachers College for Nationalities, bank of qinghai School and Qinghai Water Conservancy School merged one after another to form the new Qinghai Normal University.
