Fare Evasion--Huangshan (Mid-April 2009)

Even after finishing the tour in Hongcun at noon on the 14th, we set off for Tangkou. The highlight of this trip was to evade fares and go to Huangshan Mountain. Four people chartered a car to go to Tangkou. They passed by Mukeng Bamboo Sea and went down to take a look. This is one of the filming locations of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. The ticket is 30 yuan. I didn’t go in. I totally BS the behavior of scenic spots. Why are the great mountains and rivers of the motherland surrounded by some people and then just sit there and collect money? And you can accept it. I will accept it if they provide good services, but they treat tourists like lambs and kill you without negotiation. Prices are at least three times higher than outside. So when I can evade fares when entering scenic spots, I will definitely escape. I don’t care about money. How much, just for the feeling of dissatisfaction!

Due to time constraints, I was not allowed to climb over the mountains to find a way into the Bamboo Sea and continue beyond Tangkou. Arrive at the destination after 2 o'clock, check into the "**", and simply rest. This is a home for travelers, so it should be easy to find ways to evade fares. Around 6 o'clock, a girl from Anhui came to meet us. We didn't have to wait for a meal and rest, and the route was finalized around 10 o'clock in the evening.

Setting off at around 0:40 on the 15th, the five people took a car to the direction of Yungu Temple, the gate of Huangshan Mountain. The car stopped in the distance and they went on foot. The hole beside the bamboo forest was still there. They got in and walked along the We walked forward along the ditch where the cables were buried, and in about 7-8 minutes we reached the climbing steps. I successfully evaded the fare!

The moonlight is bright, shining on the mountains, so we can turn on the lights and look at the watch 01:28. Forward, forward, up, up, I can’t say I regret not being able to enjoy the beautiful scenery at night, but climbing Huangshan Mountain under the beautiful moonlight has a unique flavor. I packed the 4 bag to the limit, probably around the same time, tired, but happy. After walking and resting, we arrived at Baieling at around 5 o'clock. A few people took a brief rest and continued on. They wanted to go to Guangmingding to watch the sunrise, but they no longer had the energy to pack their backpacks, so they decided to leave it in the woods and go light. When we arrived at Baie Mountain Villa, there were already many people waiting for the sunrise. It seemed that we didn’t have time to go to Guangmingding, so we just went in to have a look.

After looking for bags, having breakfast, and finding a campsite, we unanimously decided to camp in Beihai and rest. Fortunately, it was basically downhill. We arrived at Beihai around 8 o'clock, set up camp, and rested. I slept until about 11 o'clock, beautiful! Bring only a small bag and climb the Lion Peak, Shixin Peak, Danxia Peak, Paiyun Pavilion, etc. with light equipment. Danxia Peak is the most fun. There is some kind of bird singing in the mountains with us, haha!

At around 4 o'clock, we were waiting for the sunset at Paiyun Tower. People in the second echelon had already bought tickets at noon and came up at this time. I contacted him via text message and made an appointment to meet in the evening. When it was almost 6 o'clock, the security guard told us that we would not be able to see the sunset here today. We were going to Danxia Peak. We fainted and ran to Danxia Peak. The people in the second echelon were there. They shouted along the way, "Lao Xia, hold on to the sun." Stay, slow down and wait for us!”

After the gathering, we returned to camp after watching the sunset.

Cooking in the tent at night, drinking tea, and bragging... On the morning of the 16th, we got up to eat, fill water, and prepare for the highlight of the trip—crossing the West China Sea Grand Canyon. The route we chose was to cross in reverse, entering through the north exit and exiting through the south exit. Seeing Paiyun Pavilion again, there are two loops in the canyon. We decided not to miss any of them and walked both. The beauty of the canyon was shocking, and the sea of ??clouds suddenly appeared. I thought to myself, "What a golden pig's foot. I'm lucky that I can see the sea of ??clouds that doesn't happen every day!" I performed "Journey to the West" all the way, and whenever there were clouds approaching, someone would shout. "Where is the monster?" or "Here comes the old monster from Montenegro", etc., followed by words such as "Take a stick from me", "Junior brother", "Senior brother".

After crossing Buxian Bridge, we went to Tianhai, went to Guangmingding, and saw the flying stone. I deliberately touched the flying stone, which is the stone in the prologue of "A Dream of Red Mansions". When we returned to camp, we saw a group of brothers from Chengdu who came over during the break and wanted to camp next to us. I was happy because the team was getting bigger and bigger. The brother actually came here with a backpack. I was impressed and invited him to have dinner with us. This was his first time backpacking and he was very happy to meet us.

I had a good sleep, but I felt a little chilly in the middle of the night. My tent and sleeping bag were enough in southern Fujian, but it was a bit colder in Huangshan Mountain, so I tightened the ropes of the sleeping bag. A lot. I got up at around 6 o'clock to cook rice, boil water, pack and prepare to go down the mountain.

A few people did not want to go up to Tiandu Peak, so they went down the mountain directly. There were only 6 people left in the team, three men and three women. Going up to Guangmingding again, we carried big bags and walked through the bustling crowd. It was very eye-catching. Someone talked to us along the way. What moved me was when I went down to Guangmingding, I met some people from Shandong. MS was in the army. An old man said to me, "bags should be carried by boys."

I smiled. , he supported me from behind, and he helped me several times when I met him. Although his action of holding the bag made me lose my focus, I didn't stop him from being kind, lovely old gentleman!

Go in the direction of the Super Welcome Pine. There are a lot of people and you have to queue up to take pictures. It’s depressing! By the time Tiandu finally knows what danger is, there are very steep steps, and you have to use both hands and feet in some places. There is no need for any image. Moving forward is the most important thing!

I started going down the mountain around 1 o'clock, and it was so hard that my feet felt weak. Due to physical reasons, the team was divided into three groups. Chongqing MM and Jiaozuo GG were very physically fit. They were in the front and a couple in the middle. The boy rode from Jinhua to Huangshan and carried all the equipment on his back. Beijing DD and I were in the back. Walking slowly, we arrived at Ciguang Pavilion at 16:40. The couple had been waiting for us for more than 10 minutes.

Heading back to the city (Tunxi), we met the brother from Chengdu on the minibus. What a surprise! I contacted Jiaozuo GG and Chongqing MM at the train station. The five of them were looking for a place to eat and drink. Two of them left the next day, and the rest went their separate ways!
